I was just thinking, I wonder how Channel 4 will deal with the problem that Pete may have a tic and say w------ whilst Davina is announcing who is evicted - they could get sued for that couldnt they, also during things like the BBLB reunion cos thats during pre-watershed hours :conf:

Well after 9 they are allwoed to swear and for the BBLB i dont think itll be live

Apprently Davina will not say ''please do not swear'' on eviction night anymore.

She will just say - ''Big brother house this is Davina. you are live on channel 4. Bonnie, Dawn and Glyn. The votes have been counted a verified and i can now reveal that the first person to be evicted from the big Brother house is ................. GLYN!''

Someting Channel 4 should of thought about before putting a tourettes sufferer in the house although i think they will find a way round it...I know if my children are watching it with me an they hear Pete swear i will explain the situation to them as i hope alot of other parents would instead of writing up to channel 4 complaining after all its their decision to have it on their televisions not channel 4's

When the program has been broadcast live after the 9pm watershed I have never really understood why Davina say's plaese do not swear..... Perhaps she is trying to keep it as puritanical as possible. A pointless jesture in a reality show.....

Swearing after 9pm is allowed according to the broadcast code. All that Ofcom insist on is that the reallly bad strong and repetative language be censored until even later than 9pm such as 11pm onwards.

With Pete's condition and swearing that aint all that bad by modern standareds I don't see why CH4 should have a problem with Ofcom even if there are complaints. I think such complaints would be highly unlikely to be upheld.....

i 've heard that "if" Pete swears live on air during friday nights live eviction the whole of Channel 4 will be taken off air, and they will be liable to a fine of up to £8 million. And the sister channels E4 and More 4 will be terminated forthwith.
..thats what a bloke down the pub told me, and i for one believe him.

Oh dear Oh dear bonnie43uk. Yout friend is winding you up big time. What your friend (so called) is saying makes me want to swear big time but this forum is not the place for such language.

I have in recent years participated in Ofcom consultations including the new broadcast code. i have had replies from them. I can assure 1000 million % that your so called friend is talking total garbage.....BB7 and CH4 and the rest are quite safe......Pete will not bring the house down.
