M83

Anyone ever heard of M83? I've only just started listening to their third album and I really love it so far! :amazed: Here's my favourite from their album I've been listening to (its called Before the dawn heals us) 'Lower your eyelids to die with the sun':

Vid's a bit dodgy but the song there is fantastic. Its actually 10 minutes long on the album.

I was just wondering if anyone else on here liked them and could possibly recommend one of their better albums to me? :amazed:

Their pretty fucking great. Saw them support Depeche Mode in Paris.

:amazed: I'm like in love with them now. I wish I could've seen them live. I gather they were really good then?

Jords 26-06-2011 11:46 PM

Wow I really like the song in the OP, is all the album just music?

Some is some isn't. Most of the songs have minimal vocals but some have spoken dialogue.

The album is fantastic though.

Not really. They only had 20 minutes or so and there was dead air in the stadium. Support act syndrome.

The music's great off a CD but a lot of it doesn't translate well live. All you can do is sort of stand there and watch it.

Ah I see. I guess thats kinda true. I don't think it would be all that interesting seeing them perform live, their sound is a bit too mellow in a way I guess.

I downloaded their 'Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts' album a couple of days ago and I'm impressed.

Reunion is my favourite. I love that song sfm. Raconte-Moi Une Histoire is probably the cutest song I've heard all year too.
