Ha, Jersey Shore creator is a Real World reject

In 1996, Salsano was a finalist for The Real World Miami and nearly became a cast member, which isn't hard to believe given her exuberance and large personality. ( Jersey Shore cast member Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio told The Daily Beast that she "belongs in the house with us.")

I guess stealing the format was her revenge.

Both shows are on MTV so BMP probably don't want to rock the boat.

Plus the Jersey Shore episode that got 8.87 million viewers is an all-time high for MTV. MTV hasn't ever had 10 mil, let alone 20 mil :joker:

When is the Korean Version of Jersey Shore comming out? I think it's called K-Town, does anyone know if this is still going to be made?

One of the suppossed cast members was a guy named Peter Le who is one of my favourite porn stars.

Those numbers aren't wrong. The Jersey Shore is MTV's most watched telecast ever and it's max viewers was 8.87 million (obviously VMAs get ratings, but that that's a one time awards special.) The Real World peaked at 5.5 million and that was the Chicago finale. Plus, how on Earth could a show go from 20 million viewers to less than 2 million in a matter of 9 years?

Besides, you're full of yourself if you think that 2002's highest show that was referenced in that article about the VMAs is the Real World. Even when Chicago hit 5.5 million (which IS the highest), the Osbournes was right after and had more viewers than that :joker:

a week as in including the reruns of that week also
its better to include reruns than just the premiere ratings because most people just catch up the reruns when it comes to mtv
