trust is a big deal. he knows i don't trust him and although he claims to trust me, I've done things recently that make me wish he didn't. aarghhhhh. I wish I could start again

the thing is i want to be with him so much. and I love him so much. and we only ever discuss splitting up whilst in the middle if an argument. we still want to be together most of the time, and things are amazing, but we have the WORST rows about stupid things. and they're brutal and incredibly unhealthy.

if the sex aint good then cut it

the sex is so good I have proposed that if we were to split up it should continue. he said this wouldn't be possible as he'd miss me and it's be weird. pussy.

I've not yet had a serious relationship but I believe if I do, I will work as hard as I can to make it work,there needs to be less of what about me and what about us in relationships,however you still need to have your own little space too.
Trust, support and knowing you are there totally for each other needs to be the basis for a good relationship I think, whether that relationship is family, friendship or a love/married one.

AS you say Pyramid weigh up the pros and cons, I also am someone who believes in the plus and minus plan of relationships, if one outnumbers the other on the important issues then an answer may be clearer.
If the plus figure is greater there is much to build on then, if the minus figure is greater then its likely to get worse because some vital elements needed to make a relationship work will have gone.

I wish the OP the very best if they are having a bad time as to a relationship at present.I would never advise anyone on anything as all situations have different aspects to them but often once the rot does set in then it's likely to get far worse and become even more lonely and painful in such a relationship.

Agree on this: but sometimes you just need another opinion - ie: you know in your head what the right thing to do is: but the heart is ruling the head.

Sometimes we just need that bit of affirmation from others that we 'are' thinking the right way (if that makes sense).

It's hard to break up especially when you do love the person. Thing is: being in love, or loving someone does not automatically make the relationship work, not does it mean it's a healthy relationship.

Life is indeed a real bummer at time.

Be strong Hannah, and give yourself time to lick your wounds if you make the decision I think you probably already have.

Go on a break. See if you can find anything better.

But if you have doubts then its clearly not good enough, always strive for perfection there is no harm in having high standards.

Honestly like others said, if its on your mind a lot then I think you know the answer. and this may sound really patronizing, but you probably love him, you just don't know if your in love with him. I don't think thats a reason for you to break up, but then at least you know he probably isn't 'the one'
