'Live' Evictions...
 

Do you think BB evictions will actually be live again this year like pre-BB8?

I remember last year them taking the complete piss and prerecording the launch by about 40 minutes.

It has just become pathetic now everytime they say 'Join us for the LIVE eviction :amazed:' 'It's LIVE nominations :amazed:' 'You're LIVE on C4 :amazed:'

+ we're all like:

So yeah, What was the reason for C4 prerecording it? + Do you want it back 100% live?

I imagine they did it to avoid errors or something (Davina's quite prone to them), but if anything they just made it more fun. There's no real sense of urgency or suspense when you know it happened an hour ago :(

That said, I wouldn't mind it prerecorded if there weren't hundreds of spoilers threads posted by some dick who knows someone who tweeted him from Borehamwood.

Yes I want it live again, I want it all back to how it used to be before changes were made after CBB5 because it's never been the same. I hope this series is either like BB5-7 years or something different and unique which will work.

OMG they werent live :bawling: I feel abused.

I imagine the heavy delays were as a result of a combination of the Shilpagate/OFCOM are an evil pack of sillys fallout and Borehamwood residents dissatisfaction with mob noise and the increasingly heavier curfews brought on to clear the site out. Hopefully it's one of the things Channel 5's reset button will be kind to as after all it's on a different network but who knows. I doubt the curfews would suddenly get reversed for no reason.

Sure it's the same show but knowing that it happened forty minutes ago and not having the 'LIVE!' banner took a lot away from things.

I remember watching something on Youtube from a 2010 Eviction night where Davina was explaining why she didn't say 'Live on Channel 4'. She said that its because Elstree were getting complaints or something because of the noise late at night from the BB Compound on live Eviction nights as it was past 11 when Evictions Finished in 2009.. Thats what i saw on Youtube anyway :)

Yeah make it live again, I had the BB11 final ruined for me with someone posting the winning order in a thread title an hour before it was announced :cloud:

100% live needs to come back even though I never knew it wasn't live.
BB has been going on at elstree for about 8 years now if residents dont like it they shouldnt live there.

A ridiculous assertion, in all fairness.

It's an unfortunate snag of area complications but you can't tell people to gather up their family and sod off somewhere else to make a living because Jasavah has to get evicted.

if it isnt live there should only be like a 1 minitue delay to stop all the spoilers :bored:

I understand how it could seem ridiculous but also for Big Brother to change the whole live aspect of the show just because some families children need to sleep so big brother has to be pushed forward an hour seems a little ridiculous to me.
I can image thats what Channel 5 would say to residents anyway.

But lots of areas have construction/congestion ect which residents have to put up with or move so its not that different, just a negative in the area residents should choose to deal with or not.

Channel 5 would absoloutely not say that to residents. That's an incredibly cretinous argument that would result in a PR disaster for the network.

You may find it riddiculous but it's life and as it should be. The production of a television show should never take precedence over peoples lives within the comfort of their own homes.

What other commonplace congestion issues plague to the same extent as two thousand hysterical welfare mums hollering at the top of their lungs in an Elstree parking lot? It is that different.

Quite pathetic that it has only really become an issue in recent series, what time were the evictions originally?

+ It doesn't explain why the HM's aren't even allowed in the pool or have music at night, how is 10 people having a laugh in a confined building the equivalent of 300 screaming chavs. :bored:

300 makes more sense, actually. Where the hell was I going with my two thousand. I doubt it's suddenly become an issue in recent times though. They were probably complaining for years - maybe since 2004 - and the complaints only got reconciled in 2007.

And yeah the garden noise is really just Channel 4 being paranoid androids. You probably wouldn't even be able to hear that from the eviction doors.

They must stop pretending that the eviction is live as we know the housemates are evicted like 10-15 minutes in advance;).

If planning permission or whatever it's called is the problem then it can easily be fixed.

8.30pm - 9.30pm highlights and live 'call this number to evict...' and so on, and then either 9.30pm - 10pm or 10pm - 10.30pm have the eviction and interview. Either one of those would work as they could easily evacuate the site before 11pm which is the time that they all need to be gone by.

Have you visited the BB house? Its in a very residential area i wouldnt like to hear crowds of thousands chanting at 11:00 at night.

How can you say the families should move lol this is the funniest most deluded post ive probably ever seen on here.

I actually wanted them to get a new house this year like in series 1 and 2. Somewhere out in the middle of a field lol

I do want it back 100% live and think the residents should fkuck themselves but saying they should move is totally over the top and proves you have no life other than BB
