Is "broad" offensive?
 

Some women seem to think so, or someone called me up on it on here the other day.

They say in the classical gangster movies so I thought I give it a shot. If they can say it so can I :hmph:

Or does it mean prostitute? But I'm thinking that meaning might be dated, like gay for happy

I would not like to be called it.
