How much booze can you handle?

And be honest. I think this is new anyway. Most threads seem to concern themselves with brands of booze, not the golden question of manhood on everyones mind.

Formulating an answer ...

All I know from the time I actually drank more than a pint in a night I had about 5 bottles of magners and wasn't even merry

(don't know where this goes on the scale)

InOne 07-07-2011 12:44 AM

It's weird with me. It seems to depend on my mood. Sometimes I can handle loads or sometimes I end up being sick fairly quickly, but still carry on drinking anyway. I'm quite a slow drinker really, if I'm a home vokda or cans on a night can last me a while

Shaun 07-07-2011 12:44 AM

I'm frustratingly difficult to get drunk...nights out are very expensive for me :(

However, a few glasses of wine always works. Mixers, spirits and beer though takes a while.

I think how much you've had to eat always affects it too.

Iceman 07-07-2011 12:45 AM

Depends on the booze, Vodka could knock me for 6 in an hour. I could drink Cider all day and be fine, Budweiser seems to just blow the head off me after 6 pints. anything else is fairly hit and miss.

Niall 07-07-2011 12:46 AM

I've never been drunk but I had a couple glasses of wine once and everything became hilarious so I guess not much?

Boothy 07-07-2011 12:48 AM

I start feeling it after about 4 pints of Stella and I'm properly pissed after about 7.

I don't like getting totally out of it though so I drink fairly slowly.

Stu 07-07-2011 12:49 AM

I'll divide it in two. Mentally it goes straight to the head. I go tipsy straight away. Physically though I can keep going without getting sick and usually do.

8 tins of lager is the default night in. I'm a happy drunk but not totally sloshed after them. Anything less and I'm left wanting more

A night out involves 4 tins getting pumped at home, a small bottle of vodka [naggin, not sure does that term exist in England] w/Red Bull at a friends house, 3 or 4 pints of Guiness at the pub, and then I just order two shots at a time at the clubs and just go apeshit after an unspecified amount of time.

I do love that totally gone feeling you get. I remember asking my mate to order me food at the takeaway when the rest of us went upstairs to the flat. The second I got into the flat I started tearing stuff up wondering where my chicken was. Makes no sense but it's great, like.

I drink way too fast too. I cannot go slow at all.

I'm quite like this actually, I do stupid hilarious things when im drunk.

I could drink any one of you under the table... No argument!

Kerry 07-07-2011 12:52 AM

I'm a slow drinker but can drink too much for a lass. Cider is my choice. Strongbow and blackcurrent. Can't drink spirits. One sends me dippy

The worst thing ever is left wanting more. Like if you have a couple in the pub and you go home feeling a bit mellow. You just wanna go for it and finish the night off lol

What happens when we get there though?

MTVN 07-07-2011 12:53 AM

It seems to depend, sometimes if I haven't eaten and I'm drinking quickly I'll start getting drunk after 4 or 5 pints or so, but other times if I'm pacing myself I can drink quite a lot. I used to be pretty bad with my drink but I'm a lot better now, if I'm going out I normally start off with 4 or 5 cans of lager & then move on to spirits & mixers and sometimes the odd jager bomb

Locke. 07-07-2011 12:53 AM

I drink far too quickly. Most people have a few sips and stand with their drink in their hand but I just have to drink it. Same with regular drinks, too.

I've never been out with anyone that can outdrink me on anything apart from vodka, I can't have more than about 2/3 shots of that straight in a row without wanting to be sick.

Mrluvaluva 07-07-2011 12:54 AM

A bottle of wine and a bottle of vodka is my limit. I don't always drink that, but that's the most I ever do, but not the most I have ever done though. But anything more has always included vomiting. Especially with 70% proof Absinthe and such like.

iRyan 07-07-2011 12:54 AM

I can drink a full Four Loko and be drunk but still fine. I know alot of people who throw up after not even drinking a full one.

I can do about 8 beers before throwing up, more or less. Maybe 7 is more accurate. I can't really say for sure because i'm usually drunk after the 4th one and don't remember much from then on.

But I get sick way easier if I have beer. I've never gotten sick after mixed drinks or liquor (only if I've mixed it with beer, VERY bad mistake I made once).

I'm 6'0 and 118 lbs.

Iceman 07-07-2011 12:56 AM

All the drinks like Absinthe, Aftershock and stuff make me do crazy things that I end up regretting. I try to steer clear of them but my mates always buy them.

Iceman 07-07-2011 12:57 AM

You guys all seem to puke a lot? I rarely ever get sick after drinking no matter how much ive had....come to think of it, its probably only happened twice.

InOne 07-07-2011 12:57 AM

One of the many threads on TiBB that now makes me want a drink :joker:

Shame it's coming to 2am :(

Locke. 07-07-2011 12:58 AM

Absinthe just gets pushed in the direction of the girls that have got boyfriends.

I only puke the morning after Cider because it tastes evil and is an evil beverage that does evil things to nice people like me.
