Do you like going to meetings?

Depends. If it's aimed at me, a teenager, I'd love to go; if it's a more adult-oriented meeting, and the topic of discussion holds no interest in me, I get bored to tears.

How about you?

:)

GypsyGoth 07-07-2011 09:58 PM

What's a meeting? like a business meeting?

Kerry 07-07-2011 10:00 PM

No

Josy 07-07-2011 10:01 PM

Not really.

Niamh. 07-07-2011 10:01 PM

No.

Vicky. 07-07-2011 10:12 PM

Hate them. For any reason.

Harry! 07-07-2011 10:22 PM

I don't mind them though I am very good at explaning things, just don;t like being asked questions .

joeysteele 07-07-2011 11:11 PM

I enjoy most meetings/interviews I have to attend but I really hate situations where I am the focus of attention being asked questions by a panel,I am okay one to one but get very nervous if on my own in front of say 3 or 4 interviewers.

Never really experienced them in a professional manner apart from staff meetings at work. I'm quite nosey so I'm quite happy to sit there and listen.

I don't think I've ever been at a meeting.

you should go to a meeting of people who've never been to a meeting.

Marc 08-07-2011 07:45 AM

Nah, they're boring and a guy at work LOVES them and makes them reallly drag. Which makes me hate them even more, I'm more prone to just discussing things out loud in the office

Livia 08-07-2011 11:57 AM

Meetings are a notorious waste of time and I think you hardly ever achieve what you set out to achieve. There's always at least one person there who loves the sound of their own voice and drones on and on and bloody on... I find that the only way to survive them with your sanity intact is to make sure whoever's chairing the meeting controls it. When I'm in the chair I give everyone a set time to say what they need to say.

CharlieO 08-07-2011 11:59 AM

Never been to an official meeting but I can imagine liking them. I like to listen to people, but I would hate to have to give a presentation or anything.

I cannot honestly believe I have just read someone asking, "What's a meeting?".

Ninastar 08-07-2011 01:31 PM

I'd not say it makes her disgusting. :bored:

I would however expect people who are able to log on to a pc, to be able to know what a meeting is: but it hardly makes that person disgusting.

Tibbs never fails to surprise me. NEVER.

I would also expect them to have a basic understanding or sarcasm or context.

Doogle 08-07-2011 05:23 PM

I love them. I think they sound fun. And if they get boring put on fake call (whatever it's called, the thing where you phone yourself) and get out of it.

But I've never worked so I'll probably hate meetings when I'm older.

Really? Is that you offering your tuition services?

Given some of the questions that pop up every day on here - as I say, nothing surprises me.
