Where do you/your family get your shopping?

ASDA for me - don't know why people would want to go anywhere different. Fair enough it's a lot busier usually but it's a he'll of a lot cheaper and they have their 10% cheaper policy where they'll give you the difference if the compare website thinks you would have have paid less than another supermarket, and if ASDA aren't 10% cheaper they'll give you the money. They're also a lot friendlier there.

Mostly Asda or Tesco and Aldi's for some other 'offbeat' stuff that I like. They're the handiest for me.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 08-07-2011 09:17 AM

joeysteele 08-07-2011 09:33 AM

Dunnes Stores

Josy 08-07-2011 09:49 AM

Asda or Tesco, but Aldis is 2 mins away from me so if I only need bread or milk I go there.

Don't have a tesco in my area. Have never been in one in my life

seanraff07 08-07-2011 10:41 AM

ASDA, cause it's closer than Tesco

Visage 08-07-2011 11:27 AM

ASDA and M&S

Maia 08-07-2011 11:36 AM

Sainsbury's because it's the closest. I prefer Tesco/Asda though.

Kate! 08-07-2011 12:02 PM

Tesco for convenience, it's a 5 minute walk from my house. Iceland to stock my freezer.

Niall 08-07-2011 12:05 PM

We go to Tesco because its the closest shop near us. Its actually insane though. There are about 5 of them within the same vicinity of our house. And they're building a Tesco Metro on the way to one of the bigger Tesco stores. :bored:

Smithy 08-07-2011 12:07 PM

Asda

GypsyGoth 08-07-2011 12:09 PM

Tesco

Jords 08-07-2011 02:01 PM

Morrisons, sometimes Sainsburys or Tesco.

Novo 08-07-2011 02:04 PM

Mostly Tesco since it's down the road

Ammi 08-07-2011 02:36 PM

Sainsburys and Waitrose

I really like Waitrose, but I spend the whole time I'm in there moaning about how expensive everything is. Also, my local one is full of ridiculous, snobbish wives of equity traders and hedge fund managers, wandering round aimlessly with their Kath Kidston shopping bags and a couple of uncontrollable children called things like Angharad and Archie.

I kind of like Morrisons.

Boothy 08-07-2011 02:47 PM

Sainsburys or Tesco.

:joker: no more like Hester and Gabriel, I buy the bulk of my shop at Sainsburys but Waitrose have more of the herbs and spices and unusual ingredients, and as I like cooking, I tend to stock up my store cupboard there. Oh and I usually buy a nice treat from their cake counter while I'm there:

Hester and Gabriel... I'm going to be listening out for them.

I hate cooking. I can't be expected to be fabulous in every room in the house. "Pierce film lid and microwave on full power for five minues" is about my limit.

Waitrose cakes are the best.... They do an amazing and massive vanilla slice - typically though they call it a millefeuille, and I'm particularly fond of their ENORMOUS cupcakes.
