Meet Tyrone's brand new love interest, Kirsty Soames.

Kirsty will be played by actress Natalie Gumede, and she's set to pound the Weatherfield beat as a policewoman.

Speaking about her new role, Natalie said: "As a northern lass who's grown up watching Corrie, I already feel at home on those famous cobbles. From the moment I read the script I knew I was going to love playing Kirsty and I can't wait to see how the story unfolds. This is a dream role for me and I'm looking forward to creating a huge storm in Weatherfield."

The news follows Corrie Producer Phil Collinson's recent revelation that Tyrone would meet somebody that could hopefully help him move on from Molly and her affair with Kevin.

But his new relationship is set to be far from an easy ride - especially with all the emotional baggage Tyrone is carrying.

Kirsty is due to appear on screen later this year, as a summer of love hots up on the Street!

Actress Natalie has previously appeared in dramas including Emmerdale and Doctors and the comedy show Ideal.

She looks hot cant wait to see her in a police uniform :joker:
