EastEnders- Kat to face more baby tragedy
 

EastEnders character Kat Moon will reportedly face fresh heartache after she suffers a miscarriage.

In scenes to be aired at the end of summer, Kat (Jessie Wallace) will discover that she's pregnant with Alfie's baby, despite him believing he's infertile.

She then falls ill and is rushed to hospital, where she is told the devastating news, the Daily Star Sunday reports.

"The pregnancy takes Kat and Alfie (Shane Richie) completely by surprise and neither of them know how they really feel about it," a source said. "Kat is understandably very nervous and anxious about having another baby.

"Her head is all over the place. But before she has a chance to get used to the idea she suffers a miscarriage. It is a cruel thing to happen to them after everything that they've already been through this year.

"And once again viewers will be in tears as they watch Kat come to terms with losing her baby."

Kat was at the centre of the baby swap storyline earlier this year, when Ronnie Branning (Samantha Womack) lost her son James to cot death before switching him with Kat's healthy newborn Tommy. The plot received record viewer complaints.

An EastEnders spokesperson added: "There is a little bit more heartache for Kat and Alfie as they try to rebuild their lives with Tommy."

EastEnders is getting truly pathetic :rolleyes: Kat Moon even considering having another baby so soon after everything that's happened is laughable. I hate how these two always get big storylines though, they've been ruined since their return.

Callum, I don't think they plan the pregnancy. Apparently it's just as their getting used to the idea of having another baby she loses it.

It's pathetic not only is it a repeat of Ronnie's constant baby woes (I think she lost a baby every six months her last 2 years on the show), but it's constant baby storylines with this show. Boring.

It's evident Kat should not have been brought back. Her story finished with her last exit.

I agree.. he needs to dish out the storylines a bit more, it's the Kat/Alfie/Tanya/Max show at the moment.

Tired of seeing miserable Kat. Anybody with half a brain cell can see that EE is awful at the moment. Still, a few users on here feel the need to defend him to the death.

Oh ffs cant Kat and Alfie have upbeat, fun storylines like back in the day....just for a change.

It's these kind of these things that is due to EastEnders getting big ratings and controversy, awards etc. The show has had more fun moments recently but yeah Kalfie used to be such a fun couple.

Corrie have had some bad things happening to their characters recently because they're desperate to show off certain actors, getting the best ratings at the moment and of course they are desperate to take the best soap title to stop some of their cast from being sore losers:p.
