Battle of the promos

Which promo would you say is better?

Big Brother 11 - The Final Send Off

or

Big Brother Channel 5 - When Bruv Takes Over

The "Final" Send Off. I prefer the mix into the BB theme. And the concept is better, burying the chair etc. I like how they're making it a party in the new one but it's not as epic as I'm guessing they were hoping while making it.

Final Send Off - because yes it was cheesy but it was the end of a series so it wasn't important to be amazingly serious. Also it clearly had a good enough thought through concept. The 2011 one is just some people running on a road pretending to sing.

Also the Channel 4 one had far better housemates.

Joelle. 29-07-2011 10:32 PM

If I had to pick one it would be The Final Send Off but the BB7, BB9 and BB10 adverts are in a different league to both of them

Doogle 29-07-2011 10:32 PM

Final Send Off because it was sad but entertaining.

Tbh as much as I like it, the new one doesn't exactly scream "BB is back" like I'd hoped.

yeah same here
and also, it's not as cheesy as this years
hopefully it will be quite good
also last year's sends a good and bold message, that big brother is ending, this year, all it shows is people dancing, singing, partying, and makes you think it's gonna be random

Patrick 29-07-2011 10:35 PM

Because the OP was too lazy.

Here are the two promos:

Jordan. 29-07-2011 10:37 PM

The UBB version was the worst though 'Who goes in - we decide' - yeah and thats why it was ****ing awful

facepalm.

Yes, but they don't really count at all in the slightest as they don't feature the housemates - just really awesome graphics WHICH is what BB11 and BB12 should of stuck to.

I mean sorry, but I'd rather see some awesome graphics form the eye and stuff and really get you pumped up like BB10's did than a bunch of camp over excited dick heads dancing to David Guetta.

But then again, this year's graphics are horrible and we've only had 3 quick adverts, that's enough to do me a life time.

exactly! the graphics were better, but it's not like they're gonna bring them back now, considering they've used housemates in the promo last year and it'd be like channel 5 to copy
though we never know, the graphics could return next year?
though you're right about the over excited camp people dancing to David Guetta

I doubt theyll use ex-housemates next year. Theyve already had them dancing around a cemetery and a field so they will soon run out of ideas. whats next, the ****ing beach? They just arent relevent. With the graphics the possibilities are just about endless but i'm sure Channel 5 will find a way to contradict that...

we will just have to wait till next year and see what happens i suppose
hopefully they'll be more creative and have a better eye next year

daniel-lewis-1985 30-07-2011 08:29 AM

I like that its modern.

The brass band in the funeral ad and the final killed the atmosphere for me.

Conor 30-07-2011 01:45 PM

How are the possibilities with the old graphics set endless? Every year from BB6 to BB10 it was the exact same advertising format with a different logo. I'm not really a fan of the new housemate advert, but at least it's different. The new eye ads look great too. They're really fresh and modern. It looks like a new show, but vitally there is still a connection to the old brand with the theme music.

Crimson Dynamo 30-07-2011 02:37 PM

i will take the new one

Niall 30-07-2011 02:41 PM

Funeral promo >

Jarrod 30-07-2011 03:06 PM

The Final Send Off. I just don't think the new Advert feels like Big Brother.. To me it doesn't anyway. I think it's because it's not on Channel 4 anymore. It didn't feel like it at all.. It felt like some Cheesy Pop reality Show

Next Year - Have them all jump out of a Plane xD

Matt 30-07-2011 03:15 PM

I prefer The Final Send-Off.

Not sure When Bruv Takes Over is the best theme they could have gone with - I would have loved an ad where the ex-housemates went back to the graveyard to dig up the chair

Lostie! 30-07-2011 03:43 PM

When Bruv Takes Over :)

Jords 30-07-2011 03:44 PM

FSO definitely.

Gillian-73 30-07-2011 06:53 PM
