They should change Competition Scheduling!

I say this because the gap between competitions and their air dates are too much. Like tomorrow will be Nominations, and then Sunday Veto. When Nominations will air Sunday and Veto Wednesday, the gap is too much, It also ruins it for us who don't watch and want to watch live feed. Even if we try to avoid Spoilers, like me, I mistakenly get Spoiled. I think they need bigger gaps between comps. Noms Saturday, Veto Tuesday. I guess the short time gives them limited scheming time.

Yeh I said something similar here or elsewhere. It would be nice to know when events will actually happen, like the next veto competition. Also if you can see a decent video of it anywhere without it being spoiled first.

BBfanUSA 05-08-2011 02:57 PM

yeah also I would like to see the thursday Shows extended to 2 hours have highlights and maybe cast votes in the first hour
2nd hour is the hgs families in clip maybe get analaysis from former hgs announce to the house who's going home give them 15 minutes to back thier bags, while this is going on have hoh comp evicted housemate leaves says goodbyes and interview... end of show

Bluerang1 05-08-2011 03:49 PM

Yeah I noticed Thursday's highlights are really short. I was expecting more.

BBfanUSA 05-08-2011 05:47 PM

Aren't evictions in the uk 2 hours

starry 08-08-2011 09:32 AM

They had Big Mouth after an eviction too so the interview was an extended one, it seems far too short on the American version. No clips in the interview for instance.

Anyway getting back to the veto (no spoilers please), they don't show the veto competition on the live stream do they? So do people watch it on the website and is it spoiled before you see the video or not? Because it takes a lot of fun out of watching the competition if you know the result beforehand.

they don't show it on the feeds but i think they purposfully showed the first food competition on the feeds during bb7 and u can hear production telling the housemates the rules and what the comp's host (Kaysar) supposed to say. They rarely show comps on feeds unless it's endurance. I think they should show the comps on the feeds and ceremonies we're going to hear who nommed anyway on the feeds and such

starry 08-08-2011 02:56 PM

I think they should have some videos of competitions on their website at least. It helps to enjoy the competitions if you don't know what the result of it is, and there is too long a wait for the HLs show. It sounds to me like they save too much for the HLs as it is, and I thought we had it bad with the British series lol.

It sounds to me like you complain too much as it is

I think nominations are done too soon, allow it another day.

Definately this

BBfanUSA 09-08-2011 02:16 PM

I want to see everything on the feeds as i said eariler

I think CBS and superpass do a fine job. It's been this way forever, it ain't gonna change anytime soon. It is what it is. I think for the most part BBUSA has found it's groove and some people love it, some people hate it, and some people love to hate it.

As most people that watch the feeds will tell you, the feeds on superpass are like a totally different show going on from the CBS show. Most people just watch the CBS show, and ofcourze CBS makes most of it's money from the HL shows from the advertising, so there's no reason for them to focus on making the feeds better, the main CBS show is where they make their money, so they are focused on making the main CBS shows the best that they can.

The fact that CBS even provides live feeds is pretty amazing, no other American reality show would do that, it's actually realy risky. Because as we saw with Chima, just one person can take the show hostage and totally ruin the editors trying to put together a good show. CBS is brave for showing as much as they do, we should be grateful.

starry 10-08-2011 04:13 PM

Maybe in America it is brave, I remember the fuss made over the showing of Janet Jackson's nipple there and you'd think the world had ended the fuss that was made over it lol. It shouldn't have to be brave to show a live stream though, those who pay for it do so by credit card I guess and so must be old enough to watch it. In Britain of course the media managed to take the show hostage with the Shilpa CBB, which shows how stupid the politicians are here too.

i'm happy with the feeds the way they are, atleast we got something!

Don't you see how much better it is seeing the competitions live with the suspense you get. I think the last program showed that. I don't care so much about the have/have not competition but HoH and Veto or any twist competition like the last one should really be shown live if possible.

Macie Lightfoot 12-08-2011 06:19 AM

Well obviously it's better to see them live, but it's also completely unrealistic.

smartalec2718 12-08-2011 04:10 PM

Guys, it's all about the time it takes to construct a viewable episode from competition/ceremony footage. The editing team needs 48 hours to put together a fully edited episode with hg's commentary in the DR, music, etc. Noms happen on Friday so they air on Sunday. Veto comps happen on Saturday with the meeting on Monday, so they air on Wednesday. It all makes sense. The producers strike the best balance possible btw giving the hg's enough time to play the game and themselves enough time to make an episode. If you don't want something spoiled, don't go online before the episodes air (it's not complicated lol). Then again I'm a feed junkie so my thrill comes from trying to deduce who was nominated, won veto, etc. when the feeds come back after comps and ceremonies.
