Has a person ever inspired you to change something?

Not someone in your family. But maybe a teacher or a 'celebrity' or a neighbour or friend etc. Has anyone ever inspired you to change your life in some way? An 'outside' influence. Big or small

Hmmmm,

My Ex Girlfriend's Brother has - he's like identical to me only he's older and sh*t but he got bullied for years and that because of the way he dressed and that kind of thing or what he liked, as I do - but we had a chat one night and he was like 'Just don't let any chavs put you down wear whatever you want, say whatever you want and you'll meet the right people eventually'

It was a long chat - but since it I've stopped being so paranoid about leaving my house and stuff incase someone said something to me, so now I walk out all like :hmph: and don't give a ****** what people think of me - for example last year on Facebook if I was writing about BB I would of got attacked by chavs saying that it was 'Gay' and stuff, and this year I'm like Whatever lol.

Not necessarily changed an action I was doing but many times others have made me think again as to my opinion on things,I am very open to that as I try to listen to others views. People on here have made me change my thoughts on things.

I'm only 19 so there is plenty time for someone to change some course I may take in life or alter the way I do something.

I'm growing a bonzai tree, and i've been growing it since a seed. My little bonzai sprout inspires me to reach for the sun every fooking day.

He bends and twists to find the sun every day, and I try to do the same.

I opened up about my problems with depression and loneliness to somebody and they sat and let me cry for several hours and talked so much sense about how to help myself out more and ever since I've pretty much been on a constant high. I'm all about self improvement, not self destruction, nowadays. :)

Thank you guys :) it was just really, I dunno, liberating, I've always known I've had a lot of problems that I kept under the surface but I didn't realise.. just how many, LOL. The next day I just felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders and ever since I've been happy and doing lots to sort myself out. I've arranged things with friends and family for every day for the rest of this week after work, for example, whereas before I would just come home from work and sit and be bored and lonely.

Never had any serious changes butmy first gf told me i had not use so much tongue when kissing , so after that i used the number 8 technique thats the only thing i can think of really

CharlieO 15-08-2011 11:01 PM

No, I have never had someone who has understood/cared about me enough to inspire me to change something. Everything I have done for my own wellbeing has only been for myself because I have decided I needed to do it.

Mac Hiavellian 15-08-2011 11:03 PM

Someone taught me to toughen up, say whatever I want to say, not care what other people think, be careful who to trust and just go out and have a laugh

Jords 15-08-2011 11:08 PM

Yepp, negative actions as well as postive actions of people.

Sam:) 15-08-2011 11:41 PM

No,nobody properly understands me enough to change me
