Welcome back BB! And a couple of takeover questions.
 

Okay firstly I want to say YES!! Really glad C5 decided to take over BB and bring it back to us! Okay childish moment over lol. A couple of serious Qs. - These might have already been asked and answered, in fact probably have so I apologise.

Firstly as we all know w/ C4 we had E4 and whatnot to watch til the wee hours etc As far as I can see C5 has nothing like this [They're doing nothing on *] However I was under the impression that one of the major factors in C5 Buying the rights to BB was to give people what they wanted and bringing back the live feed... Any idea on whether or not and if so how, this is happening?

Also - Linked really with the above question; what's the latest on a "Red Button" for camera choices etc, with the new "improved" BB??

Any links pointing me to already covered threads and/or answers are greatly appreciated!

When they did so the head of the channel said he was making it a priority to give the BB Fans exactly what they wanted! That's so ridiculous...

cos desmond thinks he can give the show a new lease of life, but he is taking away the one thing that the hardcore fans relied on to keep the show going for them

We've had this discussion for the past week, I personally agree it's a disgrace - but it's launch, can we please get in a party mood.

Guys as sad as the news is that there will be no live feed this year, can we all just take a step back and realize that thanks to C5 we will actually HAVE a BB to watch this year after all.

For me, the C4 ending of BB was anything but "ultimate" and the show still has such a mass following of fans that to try and purposely put it underground was just an overstated display of arrogance on C4's part. I'm very happy C5 picked up the ball after C4 dropped it... live feed or not, BB is back... and that makes this viewer VERY happy!

All well and good and agreed that it's a good thing they got it back alive and kicking but it's no different a show than it was for the final 2-3yrs of it on C4...

It's also still no longer -our- show because all footage will be 100% manipulated.

In comparison of what? ALL of the American shows are manipulated in terms of the timeline and that's a fact... I've always felt that at the very least, BBUK seemed to be fairly accurate in their depiction of the timeline. How certain can you be that the footage will be manipulated? :conf:

All you need to do is take a look back at the BB Shows when live feed was available and the amount of distortion they attempted to do but couldn't.

Example. - Housemate A and Housemate B are in the garden... Housemate A does something incredibly stupid which infuriates Housemate B. - We all see this on the live show.

On the evening update show, all that would be shown is Housemate B's anger towards A - With some kind of spin and manipulation and yet over half the fans [who aren't at work on that day] would have seen actually what happened on the LF and some may even complain about it.

None of that could happen since LF was removed and manipulation ensues.

Yeah I understand the concept completely, sir... I'm simply saying that in comparison of most (and virtually ALL of American programming,) the BBUK series, even the final 2, were more accurate in terms of storyline and timeline. That's not to say that there's not ANY manipulation (See BB 2006 with Imogen and Lea Walker's conversation about Imogen's sex tape) that occurs... because even when the live feed was present, it still happened in the HL shows...

I understand your frustration for sure, but from one BB fan to another, I just hope that your viewing experience hasn't been ruined because of it...
