(the joe dose not think he is in anyway < this is his culture and his way of living and i love him. and if any lady wants to be the joes womannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn then i will by them a caravan and we are moveing next door to paddy lol love this guy)

yes he is sexist but for some reason it doesn't annoy me like sexism usually does, dunno what paddy has done to me but i'm well and truly under his spell lol :dance:

Nah he isn't sexist. It's just the way he is and I don't think he treats women in the house any different than he does men!

He's a laid back guy and he's used to calling his wife his woman and she seems to be fine with it! :)

I'd say he is sexist and his conversations with Sally have been my favourite part of the show yet.

I also wonder what would be his reaction if one of his sons turned out to be gay. :suspect:

I don't think he's sexist.

I don't think he is deliberately, he comes from a different set of values as to peoples roles in life and marriage.

He has a rather dinosaur attitude to a woman's role that goes back to when it was likely expected that the Man provided and the Woman kept the home running.
All that has changed now, thank goodness, in Paddy's life and existence the roles remain the same as ages ago though and his wife likely seems happy with that so he is not deliberately sexist,he just doesn't know any different.

I voted No but in the concept of his culture the men and women are used to that behaviour. If he shared our culture then it would be a yes. :)

Their culture is all about keeping their generation from filtering out because there is very little gypsy population left that is why he shows hesitation about his son being gay because he would want as many kids as possible to carry on the Gypsy culture. You will often find that some of them are related whilst they marry just because there are so few left. ;)

His chats with Sally show that he is culturally different to her but she thinks our culture is right and he thinks his culture is right hence the heated discussion. :p
