Difference between Chat and Games and General Chat?
 

Not having a go, just genuinely don't know??? :conf:

Is it like silly piss abouts go in C&G and actual threads in GC ????

Chat and Games = post counts dont go up
General Chat = They do

I would say C&G is mostly fun banter, GC a bit more serious and Serious Debates even more serious than that.

I think General Chat is for topics that are serious but not serious enough for debates (so still having a clear purpose and question linked to it). Where as Chats & Games is more just getting to know others and posting silly things/games/chatting with others.

REALLY?? I'd didn't know that! Well I guess that makes a difference to what one you should post in.

General Chat you'll find threads like - Favourite day of the week?
Chat and Games you'll find threads like - omgz my cat fell down the stairs

General chat has topics that generally stay on topic and not chit chat/games/jokes etc

That is spot on and how I have always decided which threads go where when I'm moderating and moving stuff about. It's all based around the level of seriousness.

They're also the only place on the forum you can kind of escape the over excited, abusive, little annoying newbies who think they own the place.

Fun and games seems like the place where members go to chill out :)
