Was Sally being straight down the line with him because she likes the strong opinionated trait or was it to encourage his 'mean streak' to help her stay in the house?

She was trying to get him to like her more by brown nosing and pseudo flirting.

I hate the way she was encouraging him to open up more, because "he could go along way" on the show. Cynical bitch.

she was probably thinking about herself. if he 'opened up' then wouldn't it make the public dislike him more?. that would mean that she would have more chance of staying in the eviction.

Probably to make her look better lol but either way he'll most likely go on Friday still so it doesnt matter.
