Bojangles 25-08-2011 12:26 PM

Come on Paddy.

CaudleHalbard 25-08-2011 12:26 PM

Jedward's odds have actually improved from a day or two ago.

No they have not??? why lie :conf:

CaudleHalbard 25-08-2011 12:29 PM

Yesterday they were 5-2 = 2.5 to 1

Now they are 9-4 = 2.25 to 1

Be a bit careful before you accuse people of lying. Especially when you can be proved wrong!

You ARE wrong !!!

Suze 25-08-2011 12:41 PM

The odds of most housemates will change whilst there is an eviction imminent, then they usually settle again until the next lot of nominations. It means little at this stage. I actually hope Jedward are not favourites, favourites do and will change a bit in the run up to BB finals, I would rather they didn't win, they don't need to win, they are at the moment because of their marmite effect on people the most talked about, and I am sure after CBB they will just get back to their touring and have made some money in the meantime :) In fact it's probably better for them tourwise and practising for it to be evicted from BB earlyish rather than make the final :) So it's all good for them :)

The way I see it, CaudleHalbard is right about the odds. If someone puts £1 0n a 25/1 they get £25 back for a win as far as I gather. so a £2 stake on a 5/2 gets a £5 return for a win, which means if you bet £4 instead you get £10 return. Whereas on a 9/4 £4 brings a £9 return which is a £1 less, so the odds have improved for them. If yourself or anyone knows far more about odds and I have explained this wrong, then I am quite willing to be proved wrong about these betting odds.

MTVN 25-08-2011 01:14 PM

How do you find out the odds for yesterday?

Beso 25-08-2011 01:29 PM

Lucien is a good bet at 14's..he's almost guaranteed to make the final by dodging nominations.

Well said Suze, and no matter the result around half a million each for just doing CBB is nothing to be laughed at either.

Yes Lucien is the one that might just fly under the radar.

And? If my husband were a heart surgeon it wouldn't make me one, or understand how to operate. So can he tell you are the odds right I quoted for reference then? Maybe a google of how odds work would explain.

2/1 with some bookies now . I would have thought they would have been evens by now

Hope paddy does do it, and not bloody kerry.

Chuck 25-08-2011 02:52 PM

This scenario reminds me of CBB7 when everybody was sure Vinnie was definitely going to win but he ended up being hated.
