It all seemed very contrived to me to fit into the Darryn has a heart theme that was played throughout the whole program. BB obviously saw the whole thing supposedly planned, so why didn't they do anything? Doesn't make sense. Nor does Darryn's reaction particularly. All seemed quite strange.
