Discussion: What is a Floater?
Is a floater a person who goes from side to side making deals with everyone or is a floater somebody who doesn't do much in the house, doesn't win many competitions and is in the background so cruises through the game.

A floater is someone who floats from alliance to alliance every week depending on whos HoH, so this should include not winning competitions because if they did they wouldn't be floating between alliances.
Adam is for instance |
Oh god I dislike Adam so much
|
one of the most boring and hopeless players ever in my opinion

I loved his argument with Dani last night "Rachel and Jordan are going to put me up, so Im voting you out to get me further in the game" :joker: :conf: What a dumb ass |
what an absolute moron, i was hoping he would explode like he was saying he would might of brought something interesting into his character he's just so boring

I dont know who I want out first, shame they can evict all three of them now.

Yup Adam is a floater. And is the only one left. But after tonight he isn't anymore.
Hopefully Jordan can step it up. I love her as a person but gameplay wise I give it to Shelly or Kalia right now. |
Well, lets take the definition of float first of all - 'Rest or move on or near the surface of a liquid without sinking'.
So essentially, it is as people have said to be someone who moves from who has the power each week to ensure their safety. |
Adam and Lawon are two of the biggest floaters of all-time.
|
A floater is somebody who takes the side of the person in power at the time with no true alliegance. (See Jun BB4 for the floating strategy at its best.)
A floater isn't someone who sucks at competitions A floater isn't someone who rides coattails. |
There are two types of floater:
1) The aggressive floater. An agressive floater is a contestant who chooses not to pick a side in the house for strategic reasons, and instead chooses to 'float' between groups to appear on their side depending on who is in power, and to turn those groups against each other and avoid being a target for many weeks. Best demonstrated by Jun in S4. 2) The passive floater. The passive floater is a contestant who chooses not to pick a side. However this contestant doesn't even float between groups, instead staying well into the background in the hope that they can get to the end, the passive floater is often very inept at gameplay and chooses not to indulge in it. Best demonstrated by Kathy in S12. |
What is a floater? Adam.
