Caption Action- Challenge 1 to be posted 5/9/2011 (Monday) check post 66!
 

Ok, I have obtained permission to host a new game, detailed below. It will run alongside BB for ten weeks and have a BB theme to tie in with it.

The game is called "Caption Action".

There will be ten rounds, round ten will be the Final.

12 Contestants are required and I would also like people to apply to be Judges(5).

Each week is a different "round" whereby competitors have to caption pictures as wittily as they can and the Judges (myself included) will award points, which will be totalled up to see who is eliminated at each stage. The rounds will all have a Big Brother theme and a couple of rounds have an added twist. A caption is simply a sentence/quote that is funny and/or witty.
One person will be eliminated each week, I will start a new thread for each of the "rounds".

When we reach Round 10, we will be down to our three finalists. For that I have planned to hold a forum vote, combined with judges scores!!

I dont think there will be an award for this......there seems to be loads been giving out lately.

I asked for permission before I posted this Eoin, and some people like to have awards for taking part in games. Pretty Please ;)

Not my decision Admin decision im afraid. Just take it that there isn't and if that changes then you could get someone to make one then.

I think it will be really good fun, but frankly I am gutted that we can't have an award for it, and therefore I don't think it will get the response I was hoping for. :bawling: We shall see. Sign up anyway peeps and I will plead the case for an award.

Yea I don't care about awards really. The feeling of winning would be substantial enough if it were to happen. I'd be interested in being a contestant or judge. I think a contestant would be fun but I don't think I am witty enough.

Eoin, I see your point and I know its not all about the award but when I have done my elimination games in the past people have asked for an award to be included and all the major games seem to have them so I was going off that. Anyhow even without an award I am hopeful there will be enough interest and it will be a fun game :D

Well there was the two given for the mole, the two pub quiz, elimination...

Sure theres been more but I cant think right now.

Basically, the games that require a lot of time and effort to take part in should (rightly) get awards. This seems to be something that the contestants could (not saying they will be) just take 10 seconds on once a week.

I would hope they would spend more than ten seconds on their entry.Coming up with witty entries for ten weeks and outdoing 11 other contestants would be worthy of recognition I thought. I am sorry I asked for an award for this now, didn't want to cause a fuss. Just to share a fun game with fms.

omgz I want to be a contestant but Charlie moans too much, he'll keep saying my caption ruined the original meaning and concept of the pic, it's gonna be a nightmare :bored:
