Brian Dowling just isn't doing it for me.

What a hopeless moron.

He's complete and utter crap at this malarky, a total turn off for me. Get someone with a set,.

And wtf is it with those suits..bahhh..he's spoiling the whole live show in my opinion.

BB IS ALIVE 03-09-2011 11:33 AM

It was always going to be difficult to fit into davina's shoes with such a short break inbetween. Don't be so harsh on him, :nono: He'll losen up in a few week's.

Gillian-73 03-09-2011 11:56 AM

Give him a chance he'll get better! it must be hard taking over this job knowing all the critics (pro and amateur) are watching! they should rid him of the auto cue let him ad lib, i think that would make a huge difference and would suit brian to a t!

Callum 03-09-2011 11:57 AM

I'm not a fan of him either, he's very wooden and struggles with autocue. I really miss Davina, now she's gone you realise how good she was compared to Brian. :(

InOne 03-09-2011 12:54 PM

They should've just got some random hot presenter

Marc 03-09-2011 12:55 PM

He is rubbish

joeysteele 03-09-2011 01:01 PM

I actually began to cringe in the last 2 series of BB the way Davina did it then, she was good at the start but faded badly in the last 2 to 3 series.
Almost treating it as sort of her own chat show.

Brian is a big improvement on her performances in the last 2 series.

:joker:Hello Zippy, :joker:
well I guess it's no surprise you would disagree with me.

You still liked Davina I didn't,simple as that.We both have our own views on her and Brian.

SimBrotherNetwork 03-09-2011 01:16 PM

Totally agree!
Brian is just wooden, and over powering in interviews, it's all about me me me, and he don't shut up

dizzy bint 03-09-2011 01:27 PM

I think he's doing a great job. I thought he was very good on the auto cue last night, he gets better with each show.

Yes, thank you very much for stopping me feeling so isolated.Thank you.:joker:

CaudleHalbard 03-09-2011 01:56 PM

It shouldn't be all about the presenter anway. There were times in the past when I felt it was becoming the Davina Show.

Brian is competent enough - yes he had his first 'sticky moment' with Tara, but it will be a learning experience.

Andrew. 03-09-2011 02:54 PM

i still stand by my opinion. get Kate Thornton, or some different presenter, KATE WALSH?! i mean i remember Brian as a camp, hilarious, fun person, but now hes just... wooden, its not working, he was a BB housemate, he should be a BB presenter.

Vicky. 03-09-2011 02:56 PM

I think his problem is that hes not cut out for autocue...

That said, I really dont think hes anywhere near as bad as people make out. And yes, I prefer him to davina in her 'later' years.

Jords 03-09-2011 02:58 PM

He was an embarrassment last night running out on Tara because he didnt like what she had to say.

'Wrap it up, wrap it up NOW, DAMAGE IS BEING DONE!!!11!!'

CaudleHalbard 03-09-2011 03:43 PM

Brian was only obeying orders, as they say! ;)

I agree that allowing him to ad lib rather than following script/auto cue would have suited him better. Davina needed that: Brian doesn't - he's got the natural wit and banter: and him having to reign that in, is showing - to his detriment I think.

Besides which: I mentioned on another thread - no one can walk into such a 'coveted' role and be expected to as professional as someone who has done the same role previously for many many years. To expect that: is completely and utterly unrealistic.

I wish to hell he'd shoot his wardrobe assistant.....whoever is picking those suits needs shot. If he's doing it himself: he needs a bit of help as they do not a thing for him.

wish they'd lay off the heavy make up on him - he looks far too done up.
