What do bookies base their odds on?
 

Before CBB7, I believed forums like this and their polls for example had a big influence. However, since the change of voting style it has completely contradicted such information which makes me question whether this was ever contemplated at all. Perhaps airtime is calculated? Or past evictions? Or even media attention e.g. newpapers, radio etc.

I would be interested in hearing what everyone thinks are the contributing factors? If you were a bookmaker what would you base your odds on?

Their odds are based on how many people have put bets on that person

Not actually sure how they work out their opening odds though

Opinion Polls maybe?

Purely on the amount of money placed with them. Nothing else at all.
