Lowest EVER rating last night

If not the lowest then joint lowest along with 1 or 2 BB10 shows and that silly midnight task during CBB6

Thought this series was doing well? :joker: Looks like it'll be shown the door faster than Channel 5 commissioned it :pat:

CharlieO 04-09-2011 12:07 PM

Yea its because Channel 5 don't care about it. But it was against tough competition.

CaudleHalbard 04-09-2011 12:07 PM

Any lowest rating BB gets is probably higher than the rating of any other C5 show! ;)

InOne 04-09-2011 12:07 PM

How many watched it?

Niamh. 04-09-2011 12:07 PM

To be fair though, I didn't watch it last night but I did watch the repeat this morning. There's too much on TV on a Saturday night so it's always going to be a bad night for the ratings

RichardG 04-09-2011 12:08 PM

It was a saturday night show, up against The Jonothan Ross Show and the Xtra Factor and probably even more I wasn't aware of. I'm hardly shocked it did bad. Yes, it did worse than I hoped it would do but I think the weekday shows are the only days it will get relatively good ratings.

joeysteele 04-09-2011 12:09 PM

Well the return of Jonathon Ross was on ITV the same time so I expected a fall in the viewing fiures last night.

Suze 04-09-2011 12:09 PM

It's only the CBB show though, it's the main shows ratings that will be more telling. I expect eviction nights and the weekdays make a difference to the ratings. Seemingly weekends never do as well as weekdays, plus the launch always does well, then BB usually goes down hill for a while or up and down until the final.

The eviction shows used to always go up against Wossy even at the height of Sachsgate and if a spin off show on a digital channel is tough competition then the show isn't fit for air in the first place

And if thats how its performing on the 3rd saturday of the celebrity series, hows it going to be in 5 or 6 weeks time? It could end up being below 1m more so when the X Factor live shows start and wont be off air until after 10pm

Yes, but Jonathon Ross has been off the screens for a while now since BBC dropped his show, there would have been a lot of interest in his first one at least.

I haven't watched the xtra factor once yet,so cannot comment on how good or bad it is.

I watched it this morning and it was pretty good. Unlike Channel 5 ITV know how to relaunch their successful shows

No more excuses please whatever the time the highlights show is on if people want to watch it they will.Lets face facts this CBB has not been the must see one that even last year was on C4.
live feed may be a factor but if the casual viewer isnt even bothered and thats who c5 care about atm,its looking very grim for BB12

I am not making excuses, just observations. They just don't tie in with your perceptions of the ratings. There are no rights or wrongs on this in our opinions at the moment, only time will tell if C5 can make a success of BB.

waterhog 04-09-2011 01:18 PM

seen as ch5 decided to take away bigbrother and make it the jedward show < what do they exspect < (they have nothing to do with the production of bb joe ? yer likeurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)

Marc 04-09-2011 01:20 PM

Jonathan Ross and MPD are better that's why

Locke. 04-09-2011 01:27 PM

Doesn't matter really the expectations are lower for ratings on Channel 5 than they were on Channel 4.

How many did it get though? The guy running it said they'd be really happy with 2 million

It did beat MPD drop though Marc, someone posted on here the other day.

Patrick 04-09-2011 01:54 PM

It's because of the time slot it was put in you mong, Honestly can you just keep your ******ing negativity to yourself FFS?

Some of us are trying to enjoy it.

And this series is doing fantastic, it was up against Simon Cowell's stupid new game show and The Million Pound Drop last night, so they had to change the time slots all around.

It's rather pathetic that you just came on here to point that out and bring the place down, you're like a child.

Callum 04-09-2011 01:55 PM

It didn't beat MPD last night though^

joeysteele 04-09-2011 01:57 PM

I didn't even know MPD was on last night, TV was all over the place with new things and X Factor too.
Sorry,I missed seeing MPD was on so you wil be right there.I really never watch MPD, only one or 2 of the last series and didn;t like it anyway.

Patrick 04-09-2011 01:57 PM

I know, it's because Channel 5 put it on at a silly time.

Smithy 04-09-2011 01:58 PM

they should have put it on @ 10 rather than 9:45, keep it on the hour rather than some random ass time

Suze 04-09-2011 02:06 PM

Tom, do you have a link to the ratings then? I found the following ratings on Wikipedia, but not sure how reliable they are? And they haven't got Saturday's ratings yet, but they read quite steady.
