The Jedward Juggernaut: Can anything stop it?

There must have been a lot of money going on Jedward in the past 48 hours. Kerry was odds-on favourite for a while.

Jedward 4-5
Kerry 15-8
Paddy 8-1
Amy 28-1
Lucien 50-1
Darryn 66-1
Bobby 150-1

Bobby fans can get some great odds now! ;)

It would be great to know what are the votes cast so far, to see if they match the odds. Obviously BB staff will know - I am guessing they are prohibited from betting but what is to stop their spouses and other close family?

chuff me dizzy 05-09-2011 12:29 PM

Paddy or Kerry will stop it !!!!!

Locke. 05-09-2011 12:30 PM

Good old Jedward, winning it for Bobby

Chuck 05-09-2011 12:31 PM

Disgusting :bored:

Certainly !!

I hope not but quite often the favourites don't win so I'm not getting my hopes up too much, Kerry, Amy and Paddy are all in with a real shot. It's possible for it all to change on one nights H.L's thats BB for you!

Yes Chuff, I don't really go on the odds, it's not over till the fat lady sings........

Bobby might actually be a good bet actually. Theres quite a few on DS who are voting bobby in a 'protest vote'. Now I dont quite know what they are protesting about, but DS managed to get rachel to win BB9...I dont know how much effect forums have now. I wouldnt imagine they have too much, since the polls are way off like :joker:

Hes already defied the odds by staying twice when hes pretty much a nobody, if he gets a bit of airtime this week, I think he might be a shock top 3 placing :suspect:

Star picks a winner every year and prints all positive things about them ,This years pick has been Jedward ,everyday there are 4 or 5 photos of them and odd ones of the others, I think this influences voters

You're right actually, it would be a mistake to write him off completely, Lucien however, I don't think any editing could save him thank the Lord

CaudleHalbard 05-09-2011 12:46 PM

I wouldn't be surprised if Bobby didn't come bottom. If it is possible to place a bet on him coming (say) in the top 4, it could be worth a punt (but I don't know if you can do that).

Markets like that will become available on the day of the final, probably.

How does anyone know they got a warning from BB it wasn't shown, nor was the conversation with them in the diary room so they may have just been advised to cool things down a bit.Maybe not even that.
It should have been shown I would agree to that but absolutely no one knows for sure what was said that night in the diary room so it's all pure speculation and likely wrong speculation too.
It would seem odd to me that if they had got a warning that then Lucien should be coming to them and apologising 'to' them, it would surely have been the other way round.

As for the juggernaut, I don't think there is a juggernaut as such, they have been favourites and joint favourites since CBB began with the bookmakers, they are still not that far ahead in the odds and also favourites rarely win a BB series anyway.

Those voting for Jedward are very likely now also to be throwing votes Bobby's way, I am.
I have always maintained anything can happen in BB.I wouldn't object to a Bobby win anyway.

Zippy 05-09-2011 12:56 PM

Juggernaut? Golf buggy more like!

Please stop with the OTT dramatics about how big they are. Only 14 yr olds give a toss.

So theyve limped back as favourites, big deal. Means nothing at this point as Kerry is still close enough to win with days to go.

Some DS forum members did a Jason protest vote against Nadia being BB's expected winner BB5, and Jason made runner up. Whether he was more popular than given credit for or if the protest vote actually worked, no idea though.

Livia 05-09-2011 12:59 PM

It's not so much a juggernaut as a Special Bus.

I dont see it like this at all. Its not sure IMO.

Seems to me that Lucien apologized because the twins(or one of them) took a huff and they were both blanking him because of it. Not because he did anything wrong.

Its kinda a case of apologize, or have bad feeling between everyone because one person is being off.

That said, how much can we really gather from a 10 second clip :bored:

It certainly looks more as if it was Lucien who was out of order (in some way - we don't know what) - otherwise why on earth would he apologise?

As we don't have LF, we don't see how Jedward spend about 15 hours of the day (outside sleeping time). OMG, maybe they behave like normal people - shock, horror! :D

Tara has not been slow to criticise since she was evicted; I feel sure if the Jeds were unbearable to live with, she would not hesitate to say so.

Anyway................. one of the points I am making here is: I assume some BB staff have access to figures of votes cast so far. Surely this info can be used for betting purposes?

I didn't say it was that way for sure, I gave my speculation which may or may not be right orwrong but from my slightly more positive angle to the twins rather than from those who always see the negative angle as to the twins.

No one can say for sure what it was about, we saw a snip of it, not the whole event,I don't though see the point in apologising for something not done wrongly. I wouldn't.

Can you for instance say for sure since no one has seen the whole incident that Lucien also may not have been called to the diary room after them and 'may' I stress 'may' have been told to apologise to them.
