Top 4 Scream Openings?

Just watched all the Scream movies today, again.

We all know Scream is famous for it's epic openings but which would you say are the best?

I find the original Drew Barrymore opening - very over rated tbh.

1. Scream 2
2. Scream 3
3. Scream 4
4. Scream 1

My list.

Only seen the first and fourth, and the fourth was brilliant

Adamw92 20-09-2011 08:53 PM

Scream
Scream 2
Scream 4
Scream 3

The Original Scream opening was terrifying when I first watched it. I was 8

But on reflection of all four now I'm a grown up :blush2: my list is this.

1. Scream 2
2. Scream 4
3. Scream
4. Scream 3

MeMyselfAndI 21-09-2011 01:39 PM

i just think the S4 opening is so clever

'Conor 21-09-2011 01:40 PM

i find the S2's opening the least scariest but its very shocking and gruesome

Yeah, the thing that is scary though is the way the bald girl in it - when she was stabbed and she just stands up against the screen in the cinema and screams and then collapses.

That was freaky.

It was so sad seeing the black dude though die in such a horrible way, he seemed like such a cool guy. :(

I  Scream Films

I no yeah! I find it hard to watch when she is being butchered :joker:

I find the scene in S4 kind of emotional when Jenny is trying to crawl out the garage and shes like crying then he breaks her back and she still tries to crawl but drags her away:bawling:

I'm a Scream fanatic.

Marc 21-09-2011 03:08 PM

Scream

Scream 1
Scream 4
Scream 2
Scream 3 (mainly because I wasn't happy Cotton died..)

Marc 21-09-2011 03:09 PM

Has anybody seen the alternative open scene for S4 yet?

I've seen the stills and the story behind it. Wonder why they made two openings :suspect:

The alternate one was actually the original but they decided that it didn't work as well as the one that was actually in the film.

there is new stills

'Conor 21-09-2011 03:26 PM

I think they cut it because there is no build up with a phone call with Ghostface

Patrick 21-09-2011 03:30 PM

Will we ever see it? I'm so ****ing angry at them for not releasing any proper extra footage with the DVD.

Also Aimee Teegarden

Yes we will along with 26 minutes of other deleted scenes, when its released on DVD in the US on October 4th.

Patrick 21-09-2011 03:32 PM

Will WE get that DVD aswell?

If it's just an American only release I'm going to kill someone.

Nope, the UK DVD and Blu-ray releases weren't distributed by Lionsgate like the first three so we get no bonus footage what so ever.

I don't know

Glenn. 21-09-2011 03:41 PM

The opening got changed because there was no phone call or chase scene, I mean, why would we even need one with such a complicated opening sequence? :suspect:

I think the alternate opening is a lot better than the one we had, and that's just looking at the stills. Its looks epic :amazed:

I think we should of had a directors cut of the film. When you watch the trailers and TV Spots for the film, you can't help feeling a little cheated. When you consider Gales, 'Go ahead if you have the guts!', line was in EVERY trailer and Spot and it wasn't even in the film. It makes me angry

End of rant.
