28 Million Viewers for Ashton Kutcher's first episode of Two and a Half Men

The first night of the fall TV season was overshadowed, overpowered and otherwise overwhelmed by the start of the Ashton Kutcher era on Two and a Half Men.

Here's a rundown of Monday's key ratings hits—and misses:

RIDICULOUSLY HUGE

• Two and a Half Men (27.8 million viewers): Is the sitcom going to outdraw the Emmys, the Grammys and some American Idol finales every week? Uh, probably not. But a win's a win—as a certain professed winner and former star of the series himself would have to agree.

:o

Im guessing this is american figures? otherwise it would be pretty much a 100% share of the viewers

GypsyGoth 20-09-2011 11:12 PM

I don't like that show at all.

'Conor 20-09-2011 11:13 PM

Yeah in the US. The episode aired here at 9pm tonight on Comedy Central so will probably only get a few hundred thousand

So what is like Ashton going to be called 'Charlie' are they acting like he's just replacing the role or is it a full on new character?

In which case - what the hell did they say happened to Charlie's character?

'Conor 20-09-2011 11:15 PM

will it shed about 10 million viewers for the 2nd episode?

He's a new character.

Charlie is dead :bored:

The episode starts off at his funeral

Nearly spot on, it lost 8 million, nearly a third of viewers

Locke. 30-09-2011 12:30 PM

It usually only gets 13-14 million though

Yeah I reckon once it settles down it'll be at that, possibly a little lower.

Benjamin 30-09-2011 12:33 PM

This show is crap.

Locke. 30-09-2011 12:36 PM

I didn't get it at first but watched a few episodes and ended up loving it.

And yeah I kinda hope it does, or even goes lower than that, just to piss of the producer.

Ramsay 30-09-2011 12:49 PM

One of the most overrated shows ever

CBS comedy is terrible. There's not one funny show made by the network.

The latest episode of the sitcom starring Ashton Kutcher, dropped 3 million viewers for CBS at 9pm, but still won the night with 17.28m (6.1).

Vicky. 04-10-2011 07:59 PM

I watched both of them online. Gotta say he fit in really well. better than I thought he would.

Wish he would lose the ridiculous beard though :bored:

Locke. 04-10-2011 08:00 PM

Episode 2 was a lot better than episode 1

It sickens me that it gets twice the viewers of a lot of great shows on CBS like Amazing Race, Big Brother, and Survivor (pre S22). It really is one of the worst shows on TV.

Shaun 16-10-2011 07:11 PM

TAAHM is terrible.

King Gizzard 16-10-2011 07:18 PM

Everytime I've sat down to watch it i've stared blank faced at

Canned laughter for things that isn't even funny
