Channel 5 confusion
 

So............I'm loving the new series, I think Channel 5 have done really well with casting the housemates, my only problem............and this coming from someone who only really watched live feed on a Friday night, is I feel confused alot of the time especially during evictions, like they're skipping alot of things they don't want shown.

I feel a little bit manipulated by it but I'm enjoying it at the same time :/

The whole Jay and Maisey thing the other night one minute they are hardly talking and then the next minute they are sleeping in the same bed and then Rebeckah telling us about some fisting story to do with Jay but they never shown that either

That is exactly how I feel! For example, I cannot stand Rebeckah but I know at the same time C5 have only shown us her at her worst and edited out the rest so she probably wasn't as bad as made out.

I'm glad I'm not alone. I think this could be what will lose it's original and basically it's only fans :/

Even if there was an hour of live footage from about 12 to 1am or something. It'd help loads in us making sense of the narrative of the show.

Sometimes I feel like we have to guess what type of relationship the housemates have with each other.

Won't happen, only people on forums get the picture, Chan5 can carry on conning the regular viewers!

I also feel quite confused because nothing flows anymore, you can't see how arguements, relationships etc develop and end as it keeps cutting from one thing to another. Fitting 24 hours into an hour (which is actually less because of the breaks) make it impossible to get a clear picture of anything which is why I feel it will be one of the easiest years to predict every evictee because CH5 are basically picking who they want to make look bad and because the public has nothing else to go on its pretty much a done deal.

I used to get quite into the late night feed, the best stuff always happened then and even with the stupid sound interruptions you got a much better sense of the characters. Its a damn shame that such a good series is tarnished with no live feed.

Yes! exactly! Like what Novo said, Maisy and Jay ended up in bed together out of no where apparently, on any normal BB that'd be big news but you need to know how they got there, that's the important part, otherwise it's meaningless:conf:

Exactly. I am enjoying the show but feeling cheated too. Any live feed would be brilliant. Of course when they are not asleep if Channel 5 are being sarky bastards.

I would love a diary room uncut show too! That would be good. Or is this just too much effort for channel 5?

Diary room UNCUT is a paradox when they can stop filming and tell the person in the chair that they can't say that and to start again. (Rebeckah)

I agree. I'm loving this series, yet I feel we're being manipulated by the producers in terms of how they are editing it. Without live feed, they can edit people into WHOEVER they want. You can literally make a bitch out of a saint with the power of editing.

True... but in the same breath I don't think even live feed could have prevented 'Saint Rebeckah' from turning into the spiteful bitch she was.
