Ever been on a Ghost Hunt?

I am being taken to a ghost hunt on Saturday night as an early birthday prezzie, apparently it's the team that do 'Most Haunted' should I be scared?or will it be fun,has anyone ever been to one and what was it like, must admit I'm not sure about it but don't want to seem ungrateful.:conf:

ahhhhhhhhhhh :o

Where's it on?

LaLaLand 28-09-2011 02:04 PM

I went on one in an old country house called Plas Teg here in North Wales which is famously 'haunted' (if anyone saw "Ghosthunting with Girls Aloud, it's the same place) and it was terrifying. It's good fun but it does scare you and your mind plays tricks on you.

We had a full tour with a guide and stuff before hand to just get us into the mood and were told about all these horrible things that happened etc.

There was 12 of us and we got split into 6 pairs and sent off to different parts of the house with no lighting at all and we just had to sit still and call out. Terrifying because you think some sort of demon is going to jump out at you but the most you hear is a bang or tapping.

ALTHOUGH one of the girls in another pair saw somebody in the window's reflection and it scared her rigid.

It's SO much fun mate, you'll love it! Though you might be sleeping with the light on for a few days afterwards because it plays with your head depending on what happens lol.

Well, what a great night we had, although it was very long,we had a 3 hour workshop before the actual,'ghost hunt'surprisingly I was not scared at all,I was a little apprehensive about the ouija board after much reassurance I joined in,the glass did move(but strangely no one was scared)we 'seemed to have a childrens nursery and a 'bad' man called Ivan who the children were scared of we got a little boy called Thomas age 7, Nancy,Verity,Peter and another Thomas who was 9,we learned the 'dolls house' room which it was called was a place Ivan took the children and abused them,Ivan also seemed to 'like' one friend in particular and the glass kept going over to her,we had various instruments to pick up movement and sound we seemed to get a womans or child voice too,we investigated various rooms in one of the old wine cellars our friend came over really emotional and said she felt like crying and the guide said it was formerly where young men had died in battle and were buried where they fell and my friend looked like the girlfriend of one of them and that is why she felt that way,and all of a sudden she said she felt fine again!!,we searched an old theatre THAT was spooky, and a room called 'The Flagpole' where we did the ouija board again,we briefly got a little girl who wanted to play ball!!,some of my friends said they did feel strange, but I myself am still not sure,I put it down to the power of suggestion,I really dont know,I found the ouiji board fascinating as I genuinely placed my finger on the glass very lightly as I always thought the people themselves moved it,but it DID move sometimes very strongly, all I can say is I just don't know, but it's a great night and great fun and would recommend it to anyone.
