X-Factor Ratings Week 1
You know the drill, rate the acts and tell us your thoughts. Also tell us who you think should leave.
Amelia Lily - 7/10 It wasn't bad, it was forgettable by the end though. Johnny Robinson - 4/10 It was....fun. It'll be in between him or Jonjo to leave though. Frankie Cocozza - 5/10 He needs to work on his breathing, he sounded like he just ran a marathon. Rhythmics - 6/10 They shouldn't all rap it was cringey. If they had to do Nicky Minaj then they should have done Moment 4 Life, Fly or Your Love as they have more singy bits in there. It was decent though. Sophie Habibis - 8/10 A really strong performance, shame she'll be going tomorrow though, it should be Amelia that leaves. Jonjo Kerr - 2/10 I can barely remember it apart from the fact it was terrible. James Micheal - 7/10 It wasn't perfect but I liked it, he's the best boy in my opinion. 2 Shoes - 6/10 They're fun but I think they'll be going home. Misha Bryan - 8/10 If Janet doesn't win she will. Sami Brookes - 7/10 Good vocal, I like how she didn't go down the ballad route but we've seen it all before. Nu Vibe - 2/10 They sounded like a bunch of drunks singing a football chant. Marcus Collins - 6/10 Terrible song choice. The Risk - 7/10 Probably the best group. Kitty Brucknell - KITTY/10 Quite frankly the most stunning thing I've ever witnessed on X Factor. Give her the recording contract now. Lady Gaga wishes she was Kitty Brucknell. Craig Colton - 5/10 Yawn. Janet Devlin - 8/10 She's gonna win the whole thing. FIRST ELIMINATIONS Jonjo - He looks like he's been plucked off the street and been made to sing. Craig Colton - He bores me to tears, he has talent but he's got no chance of winning. Nu Vibe - They're awful, Tulisa would be wise to cut them and keep the boyband vote intact for The Risk as they'll both suffer if they both stay. Amelia Lily - She was the weakest girl, I like all of Kelly's acts though. |
Janet - 9/10
Misha - 8/10 Amelia - 7/10 Sophie - 7/10 The Risk - 6/10 Frankie - 6/10 Kitty - 6/10 Craig - 6/10 Rhythmix - 5/10 James - 5/10 Sami - 5/10 Marcus - 5/10 Nu Vibe - 3/10 Jonjo - 3/10 Johnny - 1/10 2 Shoes - 0/10 |
Janet Misha and Craig were all great.
The groups were all pretty rubbish but I do find 2Shoes funny and therefore want them to stay and Nu Vibe can ******* off |
I've said who I think will go, but I want
Frankie Misha Old Vibe Johnny To go. Unfortunately none of them will. |
Amelia - Losing the distinctive white blonde hair was a mistake. But as far as the performance goes, it was a very solid opener and set the standard for the rest of the night -- 7/10
Johnny - No comment - 1/10 Rhythmix - I expected a car crash and I pretty much got it. Miss Frank are still the best girl band in X-Factor history, despite what Gary Barlow says -- 2/10 Frankie - Didn’t get it at all. Awkward stage presence and a song that he didn’t look comfortable singing. I thought he would be edgier -- 2/10 Sophie - Nice performance. She’s someone who can offer so much over the course of the show I feel. It’s just a shame this silly “twist” will probably see her go home in the first week -- 6/10 Jonjo - Cringe worthy. Below average vocals, hardly any emotion and zero energy. His apparent poor working relationship with Louis does not bode well for him tomorrow -- 2/10 2 Shoes - This is probably as good as it’s going to get from them. It was fun but they are merely making up the numbers -- 3/10 James - I was intrigued to see him perform with his guitar but it was all very under-whelming. It only seemed to put emphasis on his average vocals -- 3/10 Misha - What a talent. Best of the night -- 8/10 Nu Vibe - Good start, messy middle, solid ending. Could be interesting to watch over the weeks. I can only hope the scouse guy doesn’t get a microphone next week though -- 5/10 Marcus - Unnecessarily cheesy. With a voice like his, he doesn’t need gimmicks -- 4/10 Sami - She did very well considering the terrible song choice. I expect her to only get better over the weeks -- 6/10 The Risk - A risk that seems to have paid off. Much better than expected. Undoubtedly the best group -- 7/10 Craig - Hit about 75% of the notes. Likable guy but I don’t see a market for him after the show -- 6/10 Kitty - Average in pretty much every sense. She didn’t really do herself justice tonight -- 4/10 Janet - Not a huge fan of the Ellie Golding style voice but she did well tonight and will go very far in this competition -- 6/10 |

Johnny 2/10 Rhythmix 6/10 Frankie 0/10 Sophie 8/10 Jonjo 3/10 2 Shoes 4/10 James 7/10 Misha 8/10 Nu Vibe 3/10 Marcus 6/10 Sami 6/10 The Risk 7/10 Craig 9/10 Kitty 8/10 Janet 7/10 |

Watched them all on YouTube earlier...
Amelia Lily - 3/10 - forgettable, a bit out of tune at points as well. Johnny Robinson - 2/10 - made me cringe but he can actually sing, even if it's mortifying Frankie Cocozza - 2/10 - terrible, it was a naff, identical (yet worse) copycat version of the original and his stage presence was just awkward. The breathing into the microphone was weird. Rhythmix - 4/10 - better than the usual girl band output but they grate on me a bit; I think it's perhaps their image, would be nice if they weren't dressed in such a generic X Factor way... I dunno. The performance was probably one of the most exciting ones. Sophie Habibis - 6/10 - The only performance that actually stood out for me, she's a very good singer but it wasn't amazing. Jonjo Kerr - 2/10 - pub singer, doesn't stand out at all. James Michael - 3/10 - out of tune at times I thought and really boring performance. 2 Shoes - 2/10 - nothing wrong with their singing but it got boring and I tuned out, the song didn't do them any favours. Misha Bryan - 4/10 - it was good but she's way too confident, maybe even over confident, and puts it across in her performance in a very irritating manner - she's full of herself. Don't like her. Sami Brookes - 3/10 - the singing was fine but, as with 2 Shoes, I zoned out and didn't find it particularly entertaining. Nu Vibe - 3/10 - it started out like it was going to be brilliant but they lost their way a bit during the performance and it started to be a bit shouty, they're pretty forgettable. Marcus Collins - 2/10 - sounded off key to me and it was a crap song choice, but he should be better with a different song. The Risk - 4/10 - pretty solid effort but it screamed rip off to me, they're better than Nu Vibe. Kitty Brucknell - 2/10 - utter crap. She was off key at times and shouted her way through it. Waissel comparisons with the whole singing Queen on Week 1 and going for a wacky image/wacky imagery. Craig Colton - 3/10 - good vocals I guess but it made me cringe how seriously he was taking himself with the facial expressions. Janet Devlin - 4/10 - it was captivating at times but she wasn't fantastic; I reckon she's the favourite though going by what I've seen of the auditions etc. |
