I don't buy all this "amazing singer song writer" stuff they keep saying about him, he writes quite generic songs and Take That are about 15 years past their sell by date and only popular amongst hormonal housewives

Only Simon could get away with being the nasty judge, Gary is just rude... He's hugely overrated by the show as being a huge worldwide celebrity :bored: when really hes the fat one from Take That

Second best to Robbie and a flop in America, says it all really. Plus he's going bald at 40

He tries too hard to be the new Simon Cowell but is such a fail at it. Simon was awful last series but I'd much rather have him back than Gary.

I think the only thing that goes against Gary is he has a really slow monotone voice (strangely eneough, for a singer) so he sounds dull. He's a lovely bloke though. Not sure he enjoyed the pantomime that was today and going through the acts that way though. I could almost see his eyes rolling :laugh:

I think the show should have put Jason Orange & Howard Donald dancing behind Gary to make him look less boring.:dance:

Well....I thought he did ok. The only silly thing he said was the way James 'totally reinvented that Beatles song'.......yeah, by singing it s*** !
He made cutting comments about some who deserved it.
As for the others...Louis was, well Louis. Kelly started well but towards the end I was fed up of hearing about people who had 'killed it' when 'murdered it' would have been more appropriate. And Tulisa started slowly but ended strongly, and seemed the most genuinely upset in getting rid of her act.......
Early days yet though.....

Gary has it all! Looks, charisma, professionalism and is a great judge... probably the best judge so far on the xf.

Easily the best judge on the panel.

He's dress sense is rather nice too I have to say.
