EastEnders: what did you make of the year 2007?
 
I thought it was really good. The first half of the year was a bit dire, with some terrible storylines, like "Who Killed Pauline?", but things were really looking up by April/May.

We had:

Dawn/Mad May/Rob
Dawn giving birth to Summer
Stella abusing Ben
Phil and Stella's wedding day
Stella murdered by Phil
Phil's arrest and alcoholism after Stella
The arrival of the Mitchell sisters
Denise and Kevin's wedding
Stacey and Bradley's wedding
Patrick's attack, with Chelsea and Deano adamant to frame Sean and Craig getting arrested
Lucy and Craig's romance
Ian Beale's stalker
Cindy re-appearing as a ghost
Stephen's return
Stephen shooting Jane
The Queen Vic Raid
Kevin's death
Jack Branning's arrival
Ronnie's first impression on Jack
Ronnie going into business with Jack at the R & R and not telling anyone
Jay getting involved with the gang
Jase Dyer's first appearance
Honey's baby drama
Stax. (The storyline was poor until September but then picked up and culminated in a spectacular episode.)
Ronnie/Jack
Roxy/Jase
The Masoods' arrival
Brighton Week
Stephen admitted into psychiatric hospital
Heather's first appearance
Pat's disabled sister, with Down's Syndrome
Deano and Carly - and break up
Chelsea and Deano
Sean/Stacey/Jean relationship going a step further
Ronnie pretending that she was raped by Roxy's boyfriend, to break them up
etc.

But yeah 2007 was probably my fave year of watching (but I only watched properly from about 2004-2007 anyway)

Nah, watched half of 2008 until Summer, then didn't watch until late 2009, then I watched until about July 2010 and stopped bothering. Watched the Moons return a bit, then the baby swap, but then got bored again and have watched the odd ep since but don't find it interesting anymore. :p

Yeah, 2008 was not great, really. I struggled to keep watching the whole of summer. Lauren running over Max/Tanya burying Max was just, 'WTF?' 2009 was OK from September onwards. Can't blame you, given the current storylines. :p

You gonna start watching again once a better producer comes along?

I might tbh. I was SO gripped to it last year from Bradley's death and the aftermath, and the Christian and Syed thing, but then in about July 2010 I just lost interest again. If something big (and actually interesting) happens I might watch again. I'll watch around Xmas time, not a fan of this years Xmas story though haha

Going by the way Bryan Kirkwood runs things, wouldn't be shocked if that were true. :(

I didnt realise what a good year it was :) I stopped watching around 09 but then got into it hardcore again around early last year with Bradleys death etc.. but after the baby swap I got bored again. I watch a few eps here and there if theres nothing on

99-07 was the best EE era :love:

(only bad thing about 07 is that we got Libby :yuk:)

It was a terrible year for EE, anyway.

07 was a good year for EE, certainly a lot better than what it's like now. I preferred the year of Den's death and Chrissie/Sam/Zoe teaming up though, that was 2005 or 2006 wasn't it?

2005. 2006 was pretty awful and didn't have half as many great characters in the show as it did the year before. I agree 2005 was a great year for the show, though.

Shame. I liked Libby. :(

2006 was a dreadful year, anyway. :laugh:
