ok she's nice to people generally..but that's it. The same could be said of Faye but Faye has so much more charisma and spark and isn't afraid of taking risks and offending people when necessary.

We see in her the same things that the housemates must see -and the reason that she's never been nominated or put up for eviction.

because she is dumb and ugly so she is non threatening to other women so they like her.

so they are supporting her not because of her but because of their own insecurities?? what a poor reason to support a housemate imo

I didn't say it was a good reason but its probably 90% true.

Alex wins BB so all her "fans" can feel good that the real characters who took risks and entertained didn't win because they were more interesting than her "fans".

People give Rachel Rice a bad name, but Rachel took risks, like when she left the luxury bedroom for BBlock. Alex does nothing, apart from lie about how clever she is.

frankly I'd prefer Anton to win than Alex, at least he entertains to a certain extent. Still each to their own I suppose

The answer is that no, it's not an attack on Alex fans, it's merely an attempt to get into the mindset of a group of people that many have difficulty understanding and to see if there is any redeeming qualities about them.

About them, the fans....rather than a housemate.

well I'd love to discuss Alex with you but let's be honest...there's nothing to discuss is there. Hence the reason for this thread.

I think Alex is neither dumb or ugly, so that old chestnut just because she is probably nicer, warmer and popular than your favourite female just comes across as childish and sour grapes and a dig at others who don't share your view, and certainly won't stop me liking her. I doubt she will now, but wouldn't mind if she won.

This has been answered before multiple in other threads that you have been in Fruit, but you didn't seem to hear our answers then so I doubt you will now. Nothing we say here will convince or convert you, so I have to wonder at the thread.

You don't get Alex, we get that.

Others do though.

Others find her a funny, charming, infectious ray of sunshine in a pretty dark house this year. To others she is amazing for rising above the petty squabbles and vileness we have seen from others (that apparently count's as 'doing something' to most) and maintaining a positive fun attitude to what is meant, on some level, to be a fun show.

Let me ask you though, what is, to you, 'doing something' in the house?

Is it having a showmance? Is it arguing? Is it being misarable or making others miserable?Is it being given a 'narrative' by the BB edit suite? Is it being a general ****?

While I get the viles are fun to watch, what kind of person do you want to actually win this show?

well I respect what you say Ves and I personally will try hard to see those qualities that you say exist from now on.

I want Faye to win the show because she doesn't hide anything, what you see is what you get, and that, above all, is the most endeering quality that anybody can have imo

If you don't think she is dumb then you A either haven't been paying attention much or B well I won't explain B because its not very nice. I have also never cared about the popularity of my favorite reality star in any show I watch. I like who I like and others can like whoever the heck they want doesn't bother me one bit.

Firstly please don't generalise all of her fans into the same category.

The reason I support her and want her to win is that she makes me laugh, which during all the constant dramas over alcohol, relationships and issues that nobody really cares about, it is a bloody nice change to have a happy housemate.


I support Harry for the same reason, and I did support Aaron, but he has grown dull and whiney. My only gripe with Faye is that she cries too much, but I do like her a lot.

I do like Faye as well, just for the record. I wouldn't be upset if she was the dark horse that took it at the end :)

I think she is far from dumb, so please don't think you know me. If you have me so wrong, then maybe it's you that isn't a very good judgement of housemates also ;)

As for your (B) I think even the mods on here would know very well what you are insinuating.
