Is it just me who's dreading Christmas?

I don't like it:bored:.

Lee. 11-10-2011 07:57 PM

I'm really looking forward to it... its January and February I'm dreading.

Angus 11-10-2011 08:41 PM

I love the run up to Christmas, but the day itself is always a bit of a let down -maybe because I spend half the day in the kitchen and the rest zonked out on the sofa after the Queen's Speech having imbibed too much sherry:laugh: I prefer Boxing Day. I agree with Lee that Jan/Feb are miserable, especially when all the Christmas bills come in!

Tom 11-10-2011 08:43 PM

I normally like it but hoping it never arrives because it means I'll be 4 days away from becoming a dad and having 18 months worth of sleepless nights :(

I always prefer Christmas Eve over Christmas Day itself though

bbfan1991 11-10-2011 08:45 PM

I prefer New Years over Christmas everytime.

Ramsay 11-10-2011 08:46 PM

No it means im getting older

18 months? Don't be daft.. 4-6 weeks at the most! Unless you let them take the piss, which I wouldn't recommend.... and yrs a newborn learns how to take the piss very quickly.

Doogle 11-10-2011 08:47 PM

YES. I'm always excited, except last year when I got snowed in for like a week with no food and nothing felt Chrismassy cos everyone was too pissed off from the ice and snow.

Kazanne 11-10-2011 08:47 PM

I love Christmas,I also hate January and February, but love cold winters, open fires and dark nights.

Sleepless nights because of worrying over nothing etc.. goes beyond whether its crying or not. Or so my brother & sister tell me, definitely think they're just trying to make me feel as unprepared as possible for their own amusement

Ooh best of luck to you with fatherhood:).

Really looking forward to Christmas this year, think it's because I'll have been living away from home for the first time ever so will start to appreciate family life and stuff more

Yeah sounds like it... its really not that bad. The first few weeks you'll wonder Wtf you've let yourself in for and you'll feel so tired that you'll wish someone would just shoot you in the head, but the first night he or she sleeps through is the best feeling ever!.... well apart from their first day at school ;)

Sod_James 11-10-2011 09:25 PM

im working most of it anyways so it'll be just like another working week for me.

I love the run upto Christmas, love going out carefully selecting pressies for my friends, and then all the daft stocking fillers which end up better than the main gifts.

Love the girly get together that we don't always have time for usually - and of course, the obligatory collapse at the end of Xmas night from too much food, booze and laughter.

I love Boxing Day to for the peaceful recovery from the excesses of Christmas Day.

Kerry 11-10-2011 10:23 PM

I HATE the build up. I adore it from Xmas eve onwards when it's all done and just me and my family

Jords 11-10-2011 11:05 PM

Dont be scrooges :nono:

Enjoy Xmas, why wouldnt you want to?

Beastie 11-10-2011 11:21 PM

I prefer the build up and Christmas Eve. But it's nice on Christmas Day. Opening presents and chilling out. Waiting for the family to arrive. There is usually like 15/20 of us! lol. I like Boxing Day too, I usually go to the pub or something but I rather work on bank holidays and get double pay! New Years Eve is okay depending if there is a good party or not.

swinearefine 11-10-2011 11:25 PM

I like getting stuff and decorating, but I despise the inevitable complaining about money and endless yammering about 'the true meaning of christmas' etc. I prefer halloween.

Visage 11-10-2011 11:39 PM

I really enjoy the buildup to Christmas and the time off work.

Kerry 11-10-2011 11:39 PM

I love halloween. I had a dream about trick or treating last night too. How strange
