Will Channel 5 renew big brother?

Since they have a 2 year contract do you think they will buy another 2 years or what have you ,Because i would love to audition but am 16 at the moment so yeah do you think they will renew so i can go try out? :) x
and also what are the top 10 viewed channel 5 shows?

Mystic Mock 12-10-2011 08:06 PM

I think they will renew it for a CBB9 and BB13 but I think that will be it unless they bring back live feed.

Tom4784 12-10-2011 08:06 PM

I reckon they'll renew CBB but I don't think there's much hope for normal BB.

Jarrod 12-10-2011 08:08 PM

With the ratings the show is pulling in for Channel 5, it's doing them wonders. I can't see it being axed any time too soon.

Chuck 12-10-2011 08:09 PM

CBB is a great deal for Channel5. Having over 5 million people watching the Launch then about 2 million watching it every night for 3 weeks is amazing for them.

I'm not sure about normal BB though, I know the ratings aren't a disaster but considering how much they paid for the show, I'd guess they're rather unimpressed with its perfomance.

Black Dagger 12-10-2011 08:09 PM

I think we'll just get CBB9 and BB13...

I'd love for them to renew it and to actually keep the 5 year contract after that, I just don't see it, some good things probably should come to an end though.

Smithy 12-10-2011 08:11 PM

only cbb plz

MTVN 12-10-2011 08:12 PM

No I don't think so, they can get almost the same viewers just by airing CSI repeats which is a lot cheaper

Rawrbear 12-10-2011 08:12 PM

I hope they renew it so they can get at least 4 seasons out of normal and celeb

Patrick 12-10-2011 08:13 PM

They have a 5 Year Contract, not 2 - Jeff Ford recently said.

Anyway, yes they will - even when it runs out.

Jackie 12-10-2011 08:14 PM

I think they will it pulls in ratings for 5

I so hope that's true.

RichardG 12-10-2011 08:15 PM

I bet they'll try to renew it but for a lower price which Endemol probably won't accept, sadly. It's fair to say it's doing good for the channel but it's not worth another £80m for two more years.

joeysteele 12-10-2011 08:15 PM

I expect another 3 years,(after next years series), they will need live feed for the future ones though. I believe however live feed of sorts will be back for next years series anyway.

It's been good enough to warrant a new contract and there is nothing really that Channel 5 could likely get that would bring in night after night, week after week the ratings that even this series of BB is.

Yes I agree with that although they might only be interested in getting CBB.

:worship:

If this is true... let's hope we get some form of live-feed... 5 years of CBB and Big Brother will make me a happy man <3.

Jake. 12-10-2011 08:23 PM

If the 5 year contract thing is true then hallelujah

Doogle 12-10-2011 08:24 PM

If we get more years like this, yes please.

If it turns horrible again, it can **** off and be buried again. I still have BB1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 to watch anyway :amazed:

Yeah it does get more viewers, I suppose they do have to splash out on the celebrities but then again it's not on for so long a time and generates a lot more media interest so they might stick with it if they can get decent celebs

Rawrbear 12-10-2011 08:36 PM

I prefer the normal to celebrity

Chuck 12-10-2011 08:44 PM

I hate to say it but lately CBB has been better than BB for me.

Mystic Mock 12-10-2011 08:54 PM

CBB is **** and thats the reason for why BB12 has got **** ratings because CBB8 was that bad.
