would you go out to a night club on your own? what are you opinions on this!

as long as people know where you are, and you make sure you aren't walking home or anything stupid like that, it's ok isn't it? what do people think??

Never in a million years would I go to a nightclub on my own.

Don't mind going to a restaurant on holiday alone - but never ever would I go clubbing alone. (even in my youthful hay day)

It depends. If I thought there might be some people I knew there who I knew

I wouldnt, for example, go out to a club alone if I was on a business trip down manchester or something.

The only reason you would go by yourself is if you planned on leaving with someone

Given by the way it's worded - it sounds as though Fruit_cake means 'go alone' - rather than enter alone to meet with friends who are already there. :conf:

I wouldn't go to a night club even with a group of friends. They aren't my kind of thing.

I wouldnt be going to meet up with friends though.

I would go out on the offchance of someone I know being there.

I would go out clubbing round newcastle on my own even if I didnt know others were going out as I am familiar with the place and all the clubs...and the bouncers know me too which is always a good thing.

I would not go out somewhere I didnt know.

Years ago, I knew someone who used to go up to the local nightclub on here own.

Males regarded her as an easy lay

Females regarded her as a weirdo.

Very sad that she had no friends (at all / or who would go with her?) but I've got to say, I agreed that it was a weird thing to do.

Now I am not at all inferring that towards any females on this forum - but that's how this woman was regarded.

well obviously it's a weird thing to do but if you take a phone and everyone knows where you are it should be ok I'd have thought

From a being safe pov yes, but I was speaking more how of the 'single woman' out on the tiles herself was regarded by males and females in the situation you asked about.

I wouldn't think most guys would either really tbh, although one of my friends does it quite regularly thinking he'll pull but he rarely does :laugh:

I'm pretty confident when it comes to new people/pulling in clubs but even I wouldn't go alone (I know I'm not female but still :p)

No I definitely would not... and I don't think its something we should encourage either; I have a hard enough time dealing with people who go to the cinema in their own as I really want to sit beside them, so I certainly don't want to feel obliged to go and dance with some strange lass!

Actually, to those who have done this, or would do it, would you actually go and dance in your own? Or wills you just stand at the nae and watch people? ... oh dear I feel uncomfortable just thinking about it!

Nah. I would wander round a bit and see if I could see anyone I recognised, have a few drinks...and if I didnt see anyone I knew or anything...probably go home :p
