BB up the ante

It seems with the latest round of video postings, that BB are doubling their efforts to paint Aaron in a bad light.

So how long does he have left? I think he'll be up for noms next week without doubt, so how much can C5 really get to work on him before then?

lisa12000 15-10-2011 01:42 PM

Trouble is that Aaron fans start to get a bit of a siege mentality and actually vote for him more, i think he has the more mature voters (i know thats a generalisation) and the more they try and paint him in a bad light, the more his fans will vote; Favourites arepretty entrenched by this point; Also, them putting him up again will create a bit of sympathy that they are going for him again

Over here, BBUS does the exact same thing. It's easy to see how a lot of competitions and edits are made to favor certain HG's. In the end, it's all about ratings.

I'm actually really surprised that they didn't just randomly announce who was saved. I'm sure they'd call Jay first, followed by Faye and then Aaron if that was the case. If it did ever come down to a Jay Vs Aaron, do you think they'd lie or at least tamper with the votes to try to keep Jay in? I'm hardly saying they would, I'm just curious as to who actually controls the results since the actual numbers are not made public.

In a way I hope they put up Aaron again, it just makes his fan base get bigger each week and keeps him in the lime light. We all know he'll win either way

Judging by the Aaron camp on here who snarl like dogs at anyone who criticises Aaron's selfish behaviour in the house, whilst hypocritically slating other HMs at the same time, 'mature' would not be a word I'd choose to describe them.

They also fail miserably at distinguishing the difference between loyalty and sycophancy.

Then there's the whole 'Lord & Right Wing Commander' stuff on here. Which is juvenile at best.

He shouldn't be such a hypocrite then should he!

I agree with that generalization. Given this forum is a Aaron stronghold, it'd be interesting to have a poll here on the average age of his fans. Given Jay's teenie bopper girl, high decibel cheers last night, seems he has quite a bit of that demographic sown up. Surprisingly it didn't seem to translate to large votes, given he was defeated by Faye! I wonder if, because BB has faded from popularity, whether the more 'mature' diehard BB fans are gonna have more influence on the voting?

C'mon, lighten up a bit...that's just a bit of harmless fun directed at the posh HMs, they did the same type of thing with Ben last year!

Why do ch5 need to pick a fav to push to the viewers? i don't understand it. why does it matter whether jay wins or gets evicted?

Not sure. Unless they're trying to push for a Jay vs. Aaron showdown? I guess they feel Aaron doesn't need the boost so they now favor Jay to go up against him in the final? I say Jay only b/c of the staged crowd last night and the fact that Anton's days are numbered. He's seems to be the only other major controversial, polarizing figure in the house next to Aaron. Everyone else at the moment is as dull as dishwater.

By announcing to the public BB are infact telling the Voters Aaron is leading

The effect is Aaron fans vote less & Jay fans vote more.

This is my understanding of it at least

Facebook votes only cost 0.07p and i think you can vote as many times as you like.

This is a bonus for Jay and i am starting to believe they have it in for Aaron. I just don't know if it is because they dislike his gameplaying ( a player has never won BB before ) or because they think it's better for the show to help Jay win.

Thanks. At the time of that post I was unaware that there was a external, independent company that controls vote counts. So now I know that there is no way it can be tampered with or lied about. I see your point Crom and it will be interesting to see if how and if this tactic actually plays out. I mentioned in another post that I think they're trying to build up Jay for a Jay v. Aaron showdown. They know Anton has little or no chance so they're investing in Jay now. At least that's what I'm taking away from what I've seen so far (freezergate + staged crowd).

Well Yes the crowd was Pro Jay. You could argue Jay attracts the type of people that also apply for tickets to be in the crowd, and Aaron attracts a different type of person, however BB could balance the crowd if they chose to and they haven't.

Freezergate to my mind though is different no Tv show would like to be connected to such an incident and it does not necessarily follow that it was a Helping hand for Jay.

Been a great Series so far, but for the dodgy Edits. Hope your enjoying it.

They are in overdrive right now. Posted 3 in the space of about 30 mins. Usually we are lucky to get 1 every 2 hours :joker:

The production has been a bit naff.

No real fantastic tasks nor twists, shame...

All this BIGGEST BRUV EVA XXX was just to get us hooked.

Its been a good series though because of the HMs, similar to BB10.

Not sure why Im leaving lines spaces...

lol

Mummy and Daddy are clearly refusing to top up their mobiles, and have passworded the laptops so they can't use facebook:joker: Therefore all they can do is cheer the creep. Unfortunately for the neanderthal oaf cheers ain't votes.

The same thing on this forum - quite a few posters say they support a HM but freely admit to never voting. Beats me how they expect their fave to win with no votes:confused:
