"The producer's favourite"?
 

Ok so people always go on about how Jay is clearly the producer's favourite, is always getting good edits etc. and I'm sorry but I don't believe it. There has been plenty of things that Jay has done in the HL show which has reflected negatively on him, just off the top of my head

- His "contest" with Mark
- Shaving his ass
- Punching the pillow
- Pissing on Mark in the shower
- Saying he wanted to kick Harry's head in
- Talking derogatorily about women and about Aaron (calling him "that")
- Getting ketchup over Harry’s clothes and denying it
- Stamping on banana’s
- His general anger about food

It's pretty clear that, contrary to what a lot of people have been saying, there have been a lot of incidents shown which show him in a bad light. Sure they didn't show the freezer incident, but is it really that vital that we get to see him freezing a bit of s**t in a cigarette box? People are looking for conspiracy theories when it's most likely that C5 just didn't want all the controversy that might have surrrounded it, and like was said in the email reply from 5 regarding the incident Heaven was a bit misleading with what she said about it which might explain why her bit on BOTS was edited

There's also not really any motivation for Jay winning, I don't really see why he's the sort of guy they'd want to epitomise a BB winner. You can try and say they're trying to appeal to a Geordie Shore/TOWIE/etc. demographic but then those shows only get viewers in the hundreds of thousands whereas BB would tend to hope to have viewers in the millions. I don't really buy it tbh

I don't think Jay is getting special treatment it's not like he is getting tasks set for himself by Big Brother like Alex is.. :bored: she is the one they are pushing for to win.. another thing that makes no sense at all when ex housemates are asked who they want to win they say Alex but on the leaving videos they don't even leave any message for her.. same on BOTS as well.. they are told to say her :bored:

Aaron, Anton & Jay are all getting fair edits at the minute.. they could have edited out the bit where Aaron apologized to faye in last nights show but they didn't they could have also edited out the bit where Aaron spoke to Jay and Anton but they didn't

Yeah I agree, I think Alex is the only one who literally hasn't been shown negatively at all, all the air time she gets is positive stuff and then she also gets a fair few tasks as well

I think he was 100% the producers favourite but I think even they are beginning to drop him in favour of Alex.

It's a combo of Aaron letting 'poo out of the freezer' about what happened in that incident and Jay failing to beat Faye that C5 realised Jay isn't worth it. Plus the fact that he's dull doesn't really help.

Alex hasn't done anything wrong because she can't, that would probably be the end of her game.. the little miss perfect act doesn't work with me, this is someone who spent their whole life trying to be on BB.

I think the producers do favor him, but not as much as Alex. Alex is their 'chosen one' this year, like Josie was the year before.

Can just imagine them all discussing it now " Oh for **** sake Aaron has gone and let the freezer incident slip out.. time for Plan B bob lets commence operation Alex "

Nah it wont have been that, as they could have edited it out like they had been for weeks, I'm positive that the HMs must have mentioned it in conversation a fair few times.

I think they were just sick to death of their FB page/twitter being HAMMERED with comments about it so decided it was time to stop the coverup. Its worked too, now if you look at the comments about the videos, they arent filled with comments about that incident anymore, when leading up to when they showed that clip, probably about 8/10 comments were links to maisy/rebeckahs tweets or heavens video.

Would never have been made into such a big deal IMO if they hadnt tried to cover it up, people would have still been disgusted though, but most peoples problem was the fact that its meant to be a warts and all reality show.

I don't think anyone can really judge who is the producer favourite when we don't even have LF so don't know everything that goes on unless it's just a total guess.

I don't think Alex is that favoured, we don't see that much of her.

The thing is, from watching videos/reading tweets...Jay seems to be just as huffy(or nearly as huffy) as Aaron is, yet we dont see this. Currently hes in the middle of a 2 day long sulk...but all we will be shown is his good few moments. Jay has had loads of strops(according to the tweets and what the housemates have said in other videos), and the only one I remember being shown was over the banana thing.

Its much harder to figure out who the producers favourite is when we dont have LF (last year with Josie it was OBVIOUS, staring you in the face obvious) but some people do get much more favourable edits than others.

Its easier to tell who the producers are screwing over in terms of edits...as all you have to do is watch the fuller videos of each event, and compare it to the parts we get shown on the HLs. That said, I think last nights show marked a turning point...Aaron(who has had very bad edits for the past week or so...obvious to anyone who watches the vids) seemed to get a much fairer edit, it still wasnt 'good'(good being cutting out all his bad points), but it was fair according to what actually happened. All edits should be fair IMO.

I think jay gets a 'fair' edit most of the time, 'good' sometimes. While people like Alex and Tom get 'good' edits constantly, only ever showing their fun side. They totally edited OUT watergate, which would have shown Tom up for the melodramatic fool that he is...and another of his threats.

Unless you keep up with the twitter feed and video clips. Of course they still control those, but they let us know a fair amount about what's happening in the house. Obviously not on the same level as live feed, but you get enough of an impression of what the housemates are like every day, and some times that isn't reflected in the highlights, and some big events (alcohol argument between Jay and Aaron and "watergate" between Alex, Harry and Tom are the two that come to mind) get completely ignored when they seem a lot more valuable than some of the stuff that gets shown instead.

I'm not saying they're purposely trying to make some housemates look better than others or whatever, I just think the editing this year has been pretty poor and some of their choices have been a bit dubious.

But it seems like Jay is not how he is portrayed.

I think the show is edited for Aaron and i am not a jay fan

I feel that the Hl show is all about Jay most of the time he gets more screen time than anyone else usually twice as much
