What must channel 5 do to improve bb next year?
 

I have in many ways enjoyed bits of this series, however I feel that 5 have ruined bb in the final parts of the serie, so what could they do to improve the series?


Live feed. (even a couple of hours a day would do)
Wider mix of housemates
Longer series
Better editing
No world premiers
Have a few tasks where they win personal prizes such as £1000 for the winner of a task, holidays etc.
A proper summer bb.
And maybe even allow them to talk about noms?

Unlimited food budgets with shopping tasks for luxeries such as hair straighteners, hot water

I liked the task where they won prizes like a date with becca etc

The main thing they need to do is listen to the fans.

-live feed (just to shut everyone up)
-better housemates (not just young attractive people)
-better pre-show spin off (bring back BBLB instead of OKTV)
-NO stupid movie premiers
-ALWAYS more than 2 people up for eviction
-Dont tell the HMs who got most votes (it changes nominations)
-Dont let HMs hear the crowd (although this is good sometimes, its good for them not to hear the reaction)

- No random people going in and out

No meddling with the nominations.
No newbies unless someone walks.
Wider age range.
No family members/boyfriends/girlfriends.

Things to keep from this year -
Allowed to discuss noms.
Announcing who got the most votes.

No more manipulation - be impartial in the editing.
No more pointless housemates like Tom.
More intelligent housemates like Harry & Aaron.
Alex must be the last of the Big Brother morons.

- NO discussing nominations. It should be completely against the rules.
- More communication with us (i.e. Brian doing what Davina used to do at the end of the eviction shows and announce an upcoming twist, and not just "that's it for tonight, join us again next week")
- Listen to the fans more, as it's us that are watching the show. Without us there'd be no show.
- More/better spin-off shows (i.e. the return of BBLB)
- Promote Alice Levine to host of BOTS and Emma to the main show
- Tone down the editting, less American style flashbacks and more content (although if we had the live feed it wouldn't matter)

Totally agree Jordan with all of them. Plus a few older HM's

more actual content. It just seems to be a series of snippits. So they attend a movie premier and celebs enter the house- can we actually get to see what happened there instead of being thrown a few silly clips?
The editing/manipulation is just terrible.

select only people with a IQ above 10 % i do understand with need to have a vairety of people but nealy all of the ones are in there becase "they will be entertaining to watch" bored of jay now, there only so many times you can hear someone fart, alex is dim but she has not got a bad bone in her - we need normal people this time round not these fame seeking lot , rember glen, freddie, just people with morals that dont get off on how crude they can be and the farct that behavour is going to make them a superstar (well for 1 week lol).

- Bring back 24 7 LIVE FEED please.
- I have enjoyed this series. Better than BB11 and BB10 but next year I want more of a diverse bunch of housemates. A bit like BB9.
- NO family members etc going in.. So **** that Gem went in when we could have had an "unknown" girl going in.
- Want to see more footage of all the housemates. Share the editing equally. Not just turn it into a fauxmance show.

- Better editing, it started off pretty good, but now all they seem to do is tell us what happened the night before of even weeks before.
- Alice as host at BOTS with Emma on sometimes
- No communication with the outside at all, no calls from home or anything until at least 3 weeks in.
- More stict on discussing noms and writing things on the wall.
- Better website
- Tell Marcus to tone it down

Live Feed - selectable multi camera feeds so viewers can pick who and what they want to watch live. This should minimise the possibility of biased editing of the masin show and increase fairness from BB.

No contact with the outside world - including phone calls, videos, non-housemates entering the house, etc. I'd also include housemates getting to know vote results and hearing the cheers/boos of eviction night crowds. They should be totally cut off from the outside world.

No related housemates - including ex/current girlfriends/boyfriends. All the housemate should be strangers to each other on entering.

No secret tasks - they're too easily used to manipulate and artificially create situations in the house.

More openness - if there's a task that could effect nominations or evictions, the viewers need to be informed in advance before any big reveal to the housemates. It's the only way we can be sure there's no foul play from BB.

Bascially, BBs role should be minimised to that of rule enforcer, shopping task setter and protector. The entertainment should be allowed to come from genuine interactions between housemates, not from manipulation at the hands of biased produccers.

Given the above, better housemates would be required than we've seen for the last few series - there should be people who actually have something to say and are willing to say it, with stories to tell and not just a hunger for fame at all costs.

Edit: And get rid of the emotive music in the main show.

-Live Feed: so no more complaining of rigging etc
-Housemate variety: didn't mind them this year but we can see that they get boring after a while.
-BBLB. No OKTV. Useless I think, I don't watch it so I don't know. Emma on BBLB, crudeness doesn't suit her, and Alice on BBOTS. Or whatever.
-Yes, more than Two People up at a time.
-More twist, not with noms though. Secret House etc.
-Immunity task every week.
-BB should be tougher with rule break. Remove right to nominate or get an automatic nomination.
-Better advertising -_-
-No outside world contact except one message from family at some point.
-No outside tasks at all.
-Global openness. BBUK has, can you believe it, international fans! =o
-More fan interjection, like what should be next task etc.
-No to known relations or friends entering. Ruins things.
-Noms discussion should be privileged for select few who have earned it. Like the pod thing.

Got some ideas from above posters.

Move it back to 9 o'clock every evening
Big brother bit on the side at 10
Then 1 -2 hour of live feed would make me happy

Live Feed: Even if I couldn't watch it from America, it would eliminate a lot of biased editing.

Better Casts: Diversity in age, looks, etc. And less trashy people.

NO contact with the outside world: Don't let the housemates hear the crowd outside, don't announce the order of who's staying, no houseguests.

NO discussing nominations, ever.

Better spin offs: Axe BOTS and bring back BBLB, BBBM, DR Uncut, and Big Brain.

Better editing: Name tags and previously on/coming up are fine and helpful, but music is stupid.

Some live feed.
A broader age range of housemates.
Less bias in the main show and BBBOTS.
No one hour wait between shows on a Friday.
No contact whatsoever with the outside world.
Some pieces by psychologists, either a show or on BBBOTS.

I have liked it that they kept this series quite simple. Like not just chucking in newbies. Only put a newbie in if someone walks.

Also next series they should just be allowed to discuss nominations all the time. They do it this series. All of them have or the "favourites" have and they have not been punished for it.

But yeah it's been quite a good series. They have had a bit more luxury with alcohol and parties. Maybe not with the food but we need a few arguments to stir up in which they always do with the lack of food :hugesmile:

But yes.. next year.. a more diverse bunch of housemates please! No one from agencies!! :bored:
