Aaron's 3 previous attempts to get on BB

Which previous BB's did Aaron auditon for - I know he tried to get on the show way back in 2002 BB3 (the Jade Goody RIP/ Kate Lawler etc) and got into last 30

Doodleydo 24-10-2011 10:47 AM

Pretty sure he's applied every year. He probably toned it down talking to Anton.

armand.kay 24-10-2011 10:56 AM

Lol imagin if Aaron got into bb3 :joker:

Jordan. 24-10-2011 01:01 PM

How do you know?

Suze 24-10-2011 01:17 PM

Haven't a majority of ex housemates though as well as probably a few of the present ones tried to get into BB a number of times and made it quite far in some instances. Can't blame them I suppose if they want to try it out so bad. It's an experience for them if nothing else.

Because some ex-BB3 contestants Twittered that they remembered him. He would have been 21 back then. Imagine him him in the house with Jade (RIP) who would have been 2 years younger than him. He was in the same pre-show audition group as her and Kate Lawler! I reckon he would have been friends in the BB3 house with PJ as they both are into law. Aaron would have been brilliant in BB3 - much better than Sandy who escaped over the roof and Lee the boring body builder.

Bill Carson 24-10-2011 01:22 PM

He must be desperate.

By that then, so must a majority of BB and ex BB housemates. Nothing wrong anyway with being desperate to get onto the show if that's what appeals to them. As I said, they get the experience of BB from it also :)

Bet C4 are kicking themselves now for not seeing the potential to include him in one fo their BB's and for BB3 housemates to remember him, then he must have made an impact :) WTG Aaron

alex_front2 24-10-2011 01:30 PM

Aaron apparently came close every time he applied but failed to make final cut. Would have love to have seen him with Jade, I wonder how he got on with her in the pre-BB auditon/ lock down thing. He didn't apply last year.

Not really. Many of the housemates have tried to enter BB before. You can't blame them for trying.

Roy Mars III 24-10-2011 01:32 PM

He probably didn't get on BB3, because he was too much like Alex Sibley.

I thought that too. He's very similar in personality and appearance.

Livia 24-10-2011 01:35 PM

Saying Aaron's applied three times before is only an interesting statistic if we know how many times the other housemates have tried. There are people on this forum who've tried more than once. I don't see what's to discuss.

Anton's bitter as he *knows* Aaron is way way way more intelligent than him and is now using Aaron's cerebral prowess as a sign of deviousness as the masses don't like smarty pants types.:joker:

So is Aaron that's why he's topped every eviction battle - all against 3+ people including Jay who used to be the sort of HM who would have won BB in the 2004-2009 era.

Aaron did study law. He gave up his course(and his job) when his wife had her accident and he became her fulltime carer.

She said this in an interview recently

I fail to see what relevance Anton feels this has to anything tbh

Both are. Alex is one of the best housemates ever, and Aaron isn't close behind.

Aaron's likeability factor is linked to how how aware one is that he is playing YOU..
The viewers who have discerned this tend not to be so fond of him from what i can see (read).

No Bill Carson, I am 100% aware that Aaron is a game player, but it's a different sort of game and he's at least witty and often likeable (on C5 website).

I'd say it's the viewers who are being manipulated by C5 editing into not likeing Aaron eg when he's having fun and being funny it's rarely broadcast.

Anyway back to original question, does anyone know which other series he auditoned for? BB3 was his first attempt and he didn't do last year.

RyanChaddy 24-10-2011 04:28 PM

Seriously? 3 times?
I've changed my opinion on Aaron now, poor guy :/

The Producers have an agenda. As for selection, I waited 3 hours in 2004 in London and had a numpty called Danny (Geordie?) just take a few seconds to pick out the Eye Candy the rest of us were told to Go Home. 2005 and I applied in Dublin, got called back but that was it. Never bothered with it until 2009 in Dublin and again lasted all of a few seconds. In 2010 I was in Glasgow and got called back and then after a few months a call to go to London. I think there was some fixing going on as too few of the ones I met that actually made it to the Opening Night 80. Finally, I was in Manchester this year, no queues, (bad sign) and it was obvious that the Producers had made up their minds. No oldies, no one with an IQ above 70!

I knew there'd be no-one over 40 this year but was shocked that it was actually no over 30s. Eye candy now (girls) is more important as C5 is tied to the Desmond empire (Star, OK! etc). Heaven was picked as she fullfilled 2 diversity roles (being cyncial she's over 30 and quite interesting and black which you I'd imagine you don't see in Star)
