I'll admit when my favourite housemate has faults and won't go on a conspiracy raving. I'm a Heaven fan and yes she had her faults, not gonna say she didn't. I was a fan of a certain housemate, Rachel, in BBUSA13 and I always admitted when she has her faults. But fans on here of certain housemates just don't seem to want to admit their favourite has issues.

My current favourite, Alex, I don't agree with some of her life choices, she's not perfect, but I like her anyways because of her interactions with other HMS, especially Tom, and their little reenactments, takes me to when I was younger :)

They are the worst type of fan, those who cant admit when their favourite is to (partly) blame. Quite a bit of it this series, been pretty annoying.

I don't see why people can't defend their favourite and have it remain friendly

Im a massive Aaron fan but I dont like his feet thats the only fault I can think of...

every HM i like US or UK has something about em i dont like. i also dont like the complete bias crap. i find it annoying when fans of a certain HM act like they can do no wrong as well.

I think I have said good things about every housemate, and bad things about every housemate- including my favourites.
Of course everybody has faults, excuses don't have to be made for every single thing they do, or trying to switch it to another housemate such as : well lets forget about the topic we are actually discussing, and just throw in something bad another housemate did.

I also hate the insulting fans thing. There are housemates I haven't liked this series, I have disagreed, but I don't think I have personally attacked any fan.
The amount of comments I've seen online (not just here) for Jay fans is pretty sad. They get called chavs, stupid teenagers, sheep, get accused of being really dumb/having a low IQ, and it is insinuated that they are some kind of degenerates. I've seen people also insinuate that Jay is a violent monster who would be violent towards women and would probably slap Louise around, and that his fans must be thugs. Crazy and very unfair presumptions get made.

^You know what I didn't notice that. With all the Aaron hooplah others get pushed aside. So certain mods say no bashing fans, Aaron fans that it, how about Jay fans? Double standards :(

No bashing fans of any housemate...its a rule(if you didnt know this maybe you should read the rules thread :) )... so no, no double standards

Umm no the rule applies to all fans regardless of which house mate they support

Just to be clear I wasn't having a go at the mods in my post . I think they do their best with all the posts if they get reported. I just never bother reporting posts, which I probably should, but I just couldn't be arsed most of the time. Lack of reporting could probably make it harder for them to notice all bad posts breaking the rule.
It's not just this forum I was on about either.
Just some fans in general who are downright nasty towards other housemates fans.

Yeah I didn't think you were, it does happen a lot to fans of all house mates which was why we had to put out this announcement and post this thread so some comments may well fly under the radar sometimes, if people could only discuss house mates instead of insisting on trying to insult their fans it wouldn't be such a problem :laugh:

people can like who they want. i got no problem with that. its sad that some do though.

I agree with you. Whether it's with this show or a musician or someone else in the public eye, people need to learn to be objective rather than always 'standing by their man,' or woman I presume.

The best fan knows when to give praise but also knows when to call someone out on their s***

at the end of the day peoples choices are their own.. Ive put aaron as my fave but got to admit im not over keen on any of them now. I feel sorry for Aaron cus i think hes had a bad deal with the Faye thing...think hes got himself into something he really doesnt want and cant get out of it on TV without more slagging off........I like Alex - she seems sort of normal but occasionally when egged on by the twit Tom (who is a neither here nor there housemate) she gets a bit carried away and spoils herself....that racing into the DR last night and saying they were jumping on the band wagon to leave stay, leave stay etc.....i get their point...but was pretty stupid
