Do you think Jay has a kinda, more gentle side to him ?

Put aside all the disgusting things he's done in the house and I appreciate how hard that can be for some. I myself have been grossed out by some of the things he's done and said in there.

Having said that I have seen a different side to Jay, the first signs were the week following Aden's exit, but more so after Anton had gone. Without his gang there he seems to have displayed a more softer side. He's been supportive towards Aaron a few times and I really think he's toned down his male ego.

Every week I wanted him to leave and now I find myself liking him a little more. Don't get me wrong he's still way below Aaron and Harry in my ideal housemate, but I do think there has been some improvement.

Being supportive to Aaron has more to do with Aaron always topping the vote to save I believe and his 'wolfpack' getting the dirty ditch. The 2 braincells somehow rubbed together and noticed Aaron can manipulate the voting both within and outwith the house.

Yes I can see what you mean, but there is something that's pulling me in the direction that I think he has the ability to be nice and therefor is acting upon that.

Unless it's me just wanting to see some good in him.

To stay in the house for the final, I think Jay/Jason/Justin/ whateverhisname is, realises a change of tact, and newer softer approach is needed. Becasue of that some will see him as not all bad :D I am pretty sure he was expecting to be evicted yesterday, and surviving he may put down to the change of tact so might carry it on, which I reckon will earn him extra support but probably too little too late however. Also by losing a lot of his house buddies, he would have had to change tact anyway.

I've a feeling it is the latter Visage.......yer just trying to look for the good in people. Tho I'm sure he's a 'luvley lad' when being with his ma n nan.

With your kindly streak you'll get a job with c5 at this rate :joker:

Jay has mellowed out more since the departure Aden and Anton, and I think he has a grudging respect for Aaron seeing as how he has been soundly beaten by him in the vote on more than one occasion! Jay and the others must be wondering why Aaron always tops the votes whenever he is up despite the many efforts of some HMs, their families, and even the production team to scupper his chances.

Yeah there is more to Jay than his crude manner, I like his friendship with Aaron, they're always honest with each other and acknowledge their differences and yet have been getting on really well recently and Jay was pretty supportive when Aaron was wanting to walk. It might be because they're the last 2 smokers in there, that's when they always seem to have their conversations anyway

I think hes one of those people who puts on an act around the guys. Lots of people are like that, in general they are the nicest people you could ever meet, but with the lads all they can talk about is s**t, fannys and beer.

That said, I do think he has massive anger issues..which has been proved by the amount of times he has mentioned kicking off...he promised his ma he wouldnt kick off...hes not kicking off because of louise...etc etc, and just the general aggression he shows when things dont go his way.

He also has no sense of decency at all. He reminds me of a 5 year old in all honesty, though if any 5 year old behaved the way he does, I would hope their parents would sort it out.

I thought he was on his 'top form' again with Jem there to bounce off....slating Faye during the betting task and almost having to bite his tongue before he said something untoward to Harry/Aaron

Yes, I think Jay has a good heart. He's the most straight forward person in the house.

Jay has mellowed since the demise of the wolfpack, he and Aaron have an understanding now, and I think they respect where each other are coming from, though I cant see them staying in touch outside the house, Jay has been childish in the house, he isa 27 year old man who thinks farting, ****ting in public, and belching is funny....Aaron is a 30 year old man who has been slated by some people on here for having old fashioned manners....make of that what you will....having said all that Im not one of the people who was desperate to get Jay out last night, I would really have preferred Faye to so...sorry Faye fans.

dyfed 29-10-2011 02:49 PM

I am sure he has his good side, but the crude way he behaves makes me cringe....
after all the disgusting things he has done in the house, last night when Brian told him he was safe,he let out the f word and then looked at the screen to tell his Mam,sorry, does he not know we are watching what has gone on these last few weeks.......... it must be very difficult to live in that house with him,I would have put him in the naughty corner..don't think it would have done any good though....,but sometimes he surprises you with a kindness he has for others,as Jay said,he isn't everyone's cup of tea....

I was just gobsmacked that he expressed his undying love for Loo Brush in blood. When it first came on the telly I was sure it was gonna be poo

Beso 29-10-2011 02:54 PM

Of course he has.

If Jay was this horrendous character a lot of people are saying he is he would have had a lot more to say about the deliberate failing of the tasks.

Instead he took it on the chin and saw the funny side of it.

joeysteele 29-10-2011 02:55 PM

To be fair, yes I do, I think with his friends and his family who can accept his 'annoying' habits,I would guess he was a loyal friend and good family member too.

He is not someone I would personally choose to be friends with but that's just my opinion, equally though I am sure he has been a great support and friend to many people in his life.

showtime77 29-10-2011 04:57 PM

I too am sure there is a softer side to him. However I see him more of a follower and that is not my kind of person.

Jackie 29-10-2011 07:28 PM

Nope

karezza 29-10-2011 07:35 PM

Jay likes ladyboys so he can't all bad.

..............& then he wiped his arse on Louise's pillow...

Callum 29-10-2011 10:21 PM

As proven by tonight's show, NO he has not. The man is a vile, disgusting creature.

MTVN 29-10-2011 10:25 PM

Gentleness and crudeness aren't mutually exclusive

tonyface 29-10-2011 10:26 PM

IMO: No, I had a friend for a short while who was like Jay, a self obsessed body builder, he used to have sex with about 5 different women a week, they came in all shapes and sizes, in fact he had so many, I dont think he could tell the nice one's from the bad one's.

I found it amazing how, the girls stalked him for attention, they used to text and call him constantly....

He cared nothing for anyone's feeling, and just looked forward to his next conquest...

All the women seemed to think that they could tame, him........its funny because the girl he finally settled down with was a motor-mouth Sue Pollard look-alike.....:conf:

Though he did kick off & only eventually saw the funny side...
