Lessons to be learnt for next year

  1. C5 need to get some live feed. Even if it's putting 3 hours morning and 2 hours evening coverage on channel 5* (at least I can catch up with others telling me what's going on when I am out)
  2. C5 need to fill the house with HMs they want to win. There's no point in putting in an Aaron who proves popular only to try and sabotage their chances. If they want Jay/ Alex types to win then fill the house with Jay/Alex types
  3. Don't fiddle with the prize money, unless HMs know in week 1 that it can go down. It makes C5 look cheapsake. Remember in BB6 when they added another £100K which Eugene won, remember in BB8 when Liam won £100K? Slashing and dividing the prize money in the final week seems so financially mean. I'd hate to spend 9 weeks doing something, only to learn in my final week than my potential earning are being halved and my work buddies will get part of my earnings.
  4. Lessons to be learnt by US the viewers - don't vote to keep any allies o your favorite mate as they may not turn out to be grateful. Aaron fans voting to keep Jem and Harry in - see how they turned on him

I don't remember Eugene WINNING anything - He was offered and TOOK half the £100K prize money, in private, in the DR. Then he had a tearful episode in the house, but he KEPT the £50K !! lol!

Don't underestimate the intelligence of the fans. If we don't want someone to win, we won't vote for them, regardless of how much you try and push them.

As soon as the housemates are awake....

Remove the duvets all day

...and return them at 11pm.

I posted about that yesterday (Duvet Divers) have a feeling it was totally ignored! Guess viewers are transfixed at seeing only duvets moving during the day in the bedroom!

Edit: I was right! it was totally ignored!!! http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/foru...t=duvet+divers

They never used to be permitted to sleep at all during the day, anywhere, in previous series, I think JJ&J started the rot!

Oh Fingers..

I don't think it was ignored, I know if I had seen it I would have joined you in the conversation. Sometimes it can be so busy on here that threads disappear before some of us get the chance to see them.

Back to the duvets..
It's a simple job to just remove them during the day I never understand why they think it's great viewing watching someone move under the duvets.

Yeah, that's how it was :

About one hour after Craig was evicted, Big Brother called a housemate to the Diary Room and Eugene was first to respond. He sat down behind a suitcase containing £50,000 in cash - half the actual winner's prize money. Big Brother told him he had the option of winning this half of the prize, leaving the other half for the winner. Big Brother told the remaining housemates that if he turned down the money, the prize money would double to £200,000. Eugene was given one minute to make to his decision while he was watched on screen by the rest of the housemates. After about 50 seconds, Eugene had made his decision and chose to take the £50,000.
;)

Even IF they failed any tasks this year they know that they'll get sh*tloads of takeaways and more booze than a pubload of rugby fans could drink! :joker:

This is what I'd most like to see. It almost feels like a programme like this would have to be a spin-off show now, the way BB has changed - BB (Back to Basics).

You are correct. Messing with the money is a brilliant trick. If housemates are so keen to tell us "it is for the experience" then the size of the prize money should not matter.
I would like the money to go down every time they fail a task and up when they win one. Then we wont have people like Aaron walking out on tasks.
The end total should not be fixed. That way it would stop all this fauxmance where people jump on a possible partner in week one.

karezza 07-11-2011 06:54 PM

We can't judge what is actually going on without live feed.

Stop the manipulation.

LivT 07-11-2011 07:50 PM

I think it's more a case of them deciding it wise to put in a better quality of housemates. Still varied, of course; but this series has been dominated with HM's who are either simple-minded, unhinged, immoral, and a plethora of other things that just don't make for a good choice of winners. I think Aaron. presuming he will win, hasn't had to try THAT hard , given what his competition has been.

Beastie 07-11-2011 07:53 PM

It's been a nice little teeny bopper series. Like BB8. But BB are playing it safe. We need more diversity. A broad spectrum of housemates for next year please. All ages, married, single, different backgrounds, different jobs, different stories to tell, etc..

And LIVE FEED please.

AJ. 07-11-2011 08:39 PM

Livefeed
No outside contact
Faceless, impersonal, unbiased BB & Marcus
More transparent, less manipulation of the viewers
Diverse housemates
No professionals or media trained housemates

The main thing that needs to change is the American production style, they've really shot themselves in the foot with this as I don't see how it allows the viewer to relate or invest emotionally which is main C5's aim. Josie & john wouldn't have got half the attention if there was a constant sound effect backing track & onscreen graphics that really take away from the moment & any reality.
