Frankie AXED from X Factor

Quote:

Frankie Cocozza has been kicked out of The X Factor.

The controversial singer was asked to exit the ITV singing competition after breaking a "golden rule", according to The Sun.

Cocozza, who has become notorious for his hard-partying lifestyle, is believed to have been asked to leave the X Factor house this morning.

"Frankie is devastated but he has broken a golden rule so producers had no option but to axe him," a source reportedly told the tabloid. "He had an extra boost from being kept in at the weekend when he thought he was going to go.

"But now his dream is officially over and he only has himself to blame."

Cocozza is currently at the centre of two Ofcom investigations, amid accusations that he swore on-screen and that his on-screen antics have glamorised the misuse of alcohol.

the golden rule being....?

Callum 08-11-2011 12:36 PM

I can see them doing a public vote to bring back one of the eliminated acts

Tom4784 08-11-2011 12:36 PM

I kinda feel sorry for him if he's been axed for what I think he's been axed for since it'll have been ITV's fault for encouraging him.

What? Staying out all night partying?

Smithy 08-11-2011 12:40 PM

Yeah, I don't think ITV have encouraged him, they just haven't told him not to do it

Jordan. 08-11-2011 12:40 PM

Stupid decision really, they put him there and people voted to keep him in. XF bosses are obviously under too much pressure from the media, he probably broke all the rules in week one :joker:

Anyway Amelia coming back then :amazed:

Kate! 08-11-2011 12:41 PM

Get the Risk back!!!!!!

(apologies for going off topic, but why oh why can't BB take note of this and boot out Justin Maggot.)

I think it's because of the invesitgations into his VTs because OFCOM believe they're glamourising alcohol abuse which is unfair to him as it's the way they've been edited which is down to ITV, and let's be realistic here the producers put him through to the live shows because he creates headlines, if the partying was such a problem then why did they follow him around with a camera and film it all? Because they encouraged him to party since it ties in with the character they want to portray, now that it's turned sour on them they've probably axed him for damage control and IF that's the case then it's entirely unfair for both him and the people who have voted to keep him in.

that'd make more sense than the boozing

Tom4784 08-11-2011 12:48 PM

If it's drugs then fair enough but if it's because of the partying then that's pretty bad.

Yeah, That's X Factor for you I suppose, manipulating horrible bastards :bored: It was unfair to all the others who entered the competition who could sing as well

Cocozza has issued an apology to his mentor Gary Barlow, his fans and his fellow contestants.

"I'd like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today (Tuesday, November 8), I will no longer be in The X Factor," he said.

"My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me."
