I think it is obvious to any idiot that she misses her kid that much, she mothers pete

I don't think the attacks are because Lea is comforting to Pete. I think it's because she tries to monopolize him, and whenever she becomes close with someone she tries to manipulate them.

Theres a general feeling that if Lea weren't there, Pete would spend more time with the other HMs, and that if she continues to smother him, it will hurt his chances on the show.

I think that is rather ludicrous. No disrespect, man, but 80% of the time, Pete seeks Lea out.
