Amelia - upset the balance?
 

I don't really know why, but I feel like Amelia joining the show has upset the entire balance of the competition, in the sense that I think the order that the remaining contestants finish will differ to how it probably would have been if Frankie had remained in the competition. If Frankie was in the bottom two against any of the remaining acts, he would have been out - whereas now, Kitty is the person who will be voted out against any other act. Little Mix will probably suffer as a result of Amelia returning, they're probably going to be bottom two this week, or at least that's what I think. It's impossible to tell how much support Amelia's going to pick up but if she survives this week then it makes a mockery of the competition and the other contestants, and if she doesn't then it makes a mockery of her, the producers and the competition. It's unfair on her because she is an extremely talented girl and she shouldn't be punished because Frankie was stupid enough to do drugs, but the producers do their best to ruin as many careers as possible with every passing year with their on screen dramatics and promotion of media scandals surrounding the contestants.

Hopefully she'll take away votes from Craig, Janet and Misha though - all three of them have been misfiring throughout the competition and it'd be nice to shake it up a bit. I just feel as though this entire competition has been a sham from start to finish, and whoever wins it is going to be winning a poisoned chalice because everyone will remember this series as being an utter joke. The only contestants who deserve to win, IMO, are Marcus or Little Mix.

Amelia deserves to win, she has the best voice.
Marcus should come 2nd.
Little Mix third as they're actually a good girl group.
Janet 4th as shes different.

I think all the acts have been given some crap songs to sing this series and Amelia coming into the show is something fresh, they haven't given her anything bad to sing (so far) so a lot of fans may find her the most entertaining on the show and before we know it, she will be in the final.

This is how the final should look:

1) Amelia
2) Kitty
3) Marcus/Janet

This is how it will look:

1) Marcus
2) Craig
3) Amelia/Janet

I think it was extremely unfair to the other contestants to skip her through all the the other eliminations and put her in, in the middle of the competition. I like Amelia but it was wrong of them to do that imo

Amelia should go out tonight. Would probably be the only epic moment of the show this year.

You could also argue she has the disadvantage of missing 5 weeks to pick up new fans

I don't disagree that she probably should have stayed originally (I think that was Kellys fault for giving her a crap song though) but it's just a bit stupid and unfair to skip someone forward a few weeks and drop them into the competition when all the others had to earn their places by surviving. Nothing against Amelia herself, I just think it was a questionable decision on the X-Factors producers part

Completely. Its been quite an unusual series in that there is usually one stand out act that fades and then someone else takes over a few weeks in, but this year The Risk, Misha, Craig, Marcus, Janet, Sophie and Little Mix have all been stand out acts who have started to fade momentum and have lost it.

People were getting bored and Amelia has come back at the right time. She stole the show last night and I think shes going to go on and win. She'll steal 'girl' votes off Little Mix and Janet who are flatlining, shes got a similar vocal style to Kitty so will steal votes there, Misha B has been vocals and performance, and Amelia is the same but everyone hates Misha B, so more votes stolen there.

Marcus was starting to gain momentum to win but he didn't get great comments last night and Amelia completely stole his thunder, and Craig has just got boring. If Amelia didn't return, I think the finishing order would've been something like;

1- Marcus
2- Janet
3- Little Mix
4- Misha B
5- Craig
6- Kitty

but now I think it'll be more like:

1- Amelia
2- Marcus
3- Craig
4- Janet
5- Misha B
6- Little Mix
7- Kitty

I think you're right. I imagine when the voting figures get released we'll see that Marcus had an Alexandra route up the votes - nowhere in the beginning and up there at the end, but I think Amelia will probably steal votes off all of the other contestants because she's just refreshing.

Amelia does NOT have the best voice. She is average at best, she forces her words a lot and she screams a lot just like Kitty.

Janet, though it pains me to say, has got great technique and is probably the best girl singer left. Though she's boring and doesn't do anything different with her voice. (Perrie from LittleMix is also good vocally)

If Amelia wins it'll be a sham.

I think she would have been there, definitely. The amount of support that she had across the forums and from people I had spoken to before the whole week 1 twist was enormous.

surely all this fix stuff wont help her story, and for barlow to say the british public to love an underdog is true but the british public do NOT love a contestant to come into reality competition midway into a competition, this has been proved everyone ive ever watched

Track record for returning X Factor contestants is usually quite good, granted none of them missed 5 shows and returned to the same series but the aspect is the same.

However other than that... BB USA, never works.. Kaysar, Amy etc. Survivor.. Redemption Island.. meh
