How can a prog be sooo popular (12 million viewers) and yet never attract anyone remotely current?

I don't think current necessarily contributes to viewing figures. I'm a child of the 80s and I love the current line-up. Never seen TOWIE although I am aware of its existence. I think maybe iAC is trying for the 30-50 age group with the current line-up; no real idea of its voting demographic though. I rarely vote: Never here, occasionally BB. I just want to be entertained!

They usually get the same old soap stars, old popstars and sometimes a model, but rarely they get someone really unexpected like Janice Dickinson, David Gest or Kim Woodburn who really make the show worthwhile :D
