All this fuss about big characters going.

One thing that people need to realise.

When 'big' characters go, other 'big' characters will develop in the remaining group of people. It's part of human nature and is inevitable.

Think back. First it was Shahbaz. He left. Now It's Sezar. He left. Now Grace will go, It's guaranteed that the remaining characters will develop away from eachother and so cause conflict.

And another thing. Big Brother is about tricking your housemates, not the public. Grace would've survived longer without Suzie, but the public have a right and a duty to evict her as soon as possible.

 Exactly!

Very true, but it is still a shame to lose the big characters in the first place.

Anyone remember BB4? ...

No it's not. Anybody who atttempts to trick the housemates is regarded as scum of the highest order and are evicted immediately. Big Brother is actually about who can appear to be nice 24 hours a day and play up to the cameras without making it look like they're playing up to the cameras.

BB as a GAMEshow is completely lost. It's now nothing more than a public freakshow.

Stropz: BB5 was the best by a long way. Sure you don't mean BB4?

The idea is to not get evicted. How do you do that? Don't get put up for eviction. That's the task.

*smacks self on forehead* Yes, JC, I did actually. Thank you for the correction...Unfortunately my brain isn't connecting too well with my fingers this evening.

And I think Grace was playing that very well indeed. If it weren't for
A: the Housemates being able to hear the boos
B: BB putting in a housemate with tremendous bias and the unbalanced ability to view BB from a 3rd person perspective up til now and the other unbalanced ability to nominate with impunity

Grace would still be in for quite a while, she was getting hardly any nominations at all from the housemates.

Stropz: no worries. If it's any consolation, that sig is hilarious.

That's the point I'm making. Grace has been cheated on, but that shouldn't save her.

JC 12-06-2006 09:42 PM

It won't save her, but the fact she's been cheated out of the game is pretty low. I know BB makes the rules and is free to change them as it sees fit, but to not even give anyone a chance to play the game tactically is really disappointing.

I have to deal with it, but I won't support it. Once Grace leaves the BB house, so will my TV. I don't want to watch happy families.

Ive come to the conclusion Grace never played a "Good Game" because she succeeded in making the public hate her, that is not a good game....she was just bitching.
Richard at the moment is a good game player,as is nikki, pete and possibly lea and glyn..........there staying in there, there not hated by the public and there interesting (Enough)....

You are the first person to comment on it favourably.

JC 12-06-2006 09:49 PM

I think Richard and Glynn are playing the game in their own way. Glynn has the best chance of suceeding by taking the "Shell tactic" ie being nice to anyone and everyone and not stirring the pot in order to get a free ride to the final 4. Richard's popularity with the public is falling however.

Nikki isn't smart enough to play the game, I think Pete is just like that anyway, and I can't figure Lea out. But she doesn't really interest me anyway.

GlitterEyes 12-06-2006 11:41 PM

I agree with that 100% eviction is the publics only way to punish the housemates.
