Well considering that Jay played the "pull at the heart strings" move when in the house and said he would give the money to his Mum - I'd say quite a lot. I always assumed the way he talked that his Mum was single and had brought him up by herself and was struggling to survive and therefore him winning the money and handing it to her would be helping her pay off debts and stop stressing about money!

Believing this was clearly a mistake by me!

Why would he need to hand money over to his Mum if she and her husband are directors of a company that's clearly doing pretty well and bringing in plenty of cash?

That's what I thought - he said that he would give money to his mum. I remember as I rolled my eye lids screaming 'sob story' when he said that plus when Alex said she'd give a few thousand to her gran to pay off car insurance and when Louise said she'd split it amongst all her friends.

As well as Aaron, he was also one of the best housemates this year. Get the **** over it.

We are all entitled to our opinions without being told to get the ****over it. or being asked 'how the **** does that affect you'.

I also loved how on the eviction night (when Harry left) when Brian D asked Mama McKray why Jay should stay she went on about how Jay's 'a normal working class lad, not rich, with a working class job, no airs no graces' (ie he's not like rich posho Harry, people :joker: )

Also people slagged off Maisy for having an affluent dad when he flew the banner over the house.

My feelings also. I'm quite shocked actually after the "working class lad who's been a plumber since he was 15" line, obviously trying to give the impression they struggled, when it seems quite the opposite.

But it's extremely irritating when people are following Jay's actions outside of the house like stalkers and scrutinising every tiny thing he does. And it's also annoying when people try and deny his obvious contribution to BB12. I'd have thought, being an Aaron fan because he offered the most to the show, that other fans would've shared the same viewpoint and so as such also recognised Jay's importance to the series.

At the end of the day any housemate that makes any significant contribution to a series should not be vilified, and those who do not, i.e Steve BB11, Rachel Rice, Alex should be. You'd have thought it would be common sense really. It just annoys me.

I've got nothing against people with money. I liked Harry as well as Maisy and Tashie (wealthy dads) plus I didn't dislike Rebeckah because of her wealth more because she was a sour faced b*tch. I actually thought Aaron was quite well off, richer than Jay. He isn't.

So why make a thread on his mother having money then?

From the sounds of things his mum started with nothing and worked hard and ended up being successful, plus his mum having money doesn't mean he has, he is in his late twenties he is a bit old to be living off his mum. And the gameplayer part doesn't really matter, Jay had a game, Aaron had a game, Anton had a game.. it is a gameshow, they all did.

No, it's people who pretend to be poor etc when they are not. Jay went on and on about Harry being posh right from open night when he 'accused Harry of going to university' just because he spoke posh. Harry didn't. Then he went on and on about being a plumber. Then Jay went on to Louise (when they were starting to get together) about his humble background. Then Jay's mum did her whole 'please vote for Jay as he's a humble working class plumber' card. Bingo, posh Harry is evicted.

This Jay's mummy threads is a pile of crap tbh. If she was born into a rich and wealthy family and pretty much well off immedietely I undersand. However it seems like she worked and grafted incredibly hard in order to become a succesfull businesswoman and look after her boy and family. Most people would see that as inspirational rathar than something to throw insults at.

Maybe Jay wanted to give her the money as a thank you? 100k Is ALOT of money..you are acting like she is swimming in Millions Donald Trump Style. Not once did he say "I am giving it to my mum because she is poor".

I cant stand the woman bashing on here, the worst part is that the females are more viscious/aggressive when speaking against other women. BTW plumbing is a ****ty job but it pays alot more than some office jobs.
